BCT shipped out the P-51s....

Post by Teamski » Sat Oct 08, 2005 3:54 pm

Well, BCT started to ship out both HHH and Cripes P-51s. They look pretty nice, but I really miss the weathering of the series 1 version!! I'll pass on these.....

Whoohoo! Hurry Home Honey should arrive anytime! If it gets here before Tuesday of next week, then I'll take it to the Planes of Fame Museum and get some photos of it with 'Wee Willy II' who has the same type of paint scheme as HHH.

I just got home from Fleet Week seeing the Blue Angels and there at the door are HHH and Cripes. They're still in the box but both look good. I have to say my initial impression is HHH looks the best. I should get these open by tomorrow and can say more.

OK guys, I snapped some pics this evening. I wasn't going to open them until I made room to hang them but I couldn't resist. HHH has some scratches and it looks like some of the white paint was touched up. Also the screw plugs aren't flush. Cripes has a better paint job but still some noticable scratches. Minor stuff really and something I can live with. The planes themselves are the same as "Killer". I'm glad I picked these up, I like the paint schemes. As long as BBI/21st make aces planes I'll probably buy them even if I don't have room. I'd like to see Meyer's P51.
