Light grey first, then a light loose swirl pattern in olive the a more tight random swirl pattern in a dark olive drab over that. When you look at it close you can see the detail but from 10 ft or so it all blends so well I can see why they painted it that way.



If no one wants to cough up $175 for it I will happily keep it!

Airbrush, blue bottom first, then light grey on top, then a light loose swirl pattern in olive green then a more tight random swirl pattern in a dark olive drab over that. When you look at it close you can see the detail but from 10 ft or so it all blends so well I can see why they painted it that way. (you have to get in close with the last coat and keep moving)

The 262 is awesome, pretty cheap for a custom the time you figure in the cost of the plane to begin with, just went to your etsy site, appears you've been real busy, you need to post some of the stuff there here

Thanks, but I am reworking a 262 single-seater by my own right now. Interesting thing: you are using all kind of swirl-patterns - I dont dare to work with swirls, because you need a very 'trained wrist' and much, much practice, for me its one of the most challenging patterns...Tell me, how do you do it for example on the 262 nightfighter or the wintercamo-Stuka ? The edges of the swirls are that sharp, so I guess you dont use an airbrush...you have a hell of an impressive collection...thumps up...

Thanks, I am an artist also and have done alot of tribal type tattoo art so the swirl camo is kinda second nature although that single seater 262's paint was insane looking on the diagram I used so I was not as concerned with spacing. I can draw it on with a flat paint pen then wet sand and clear coat or airbrush it on either way works for me but it does take a constant speed and constant movement. The paint pen works great on 1/48. The absolute best way to do it is to draw it on with a paint pen then go over that with airbrush but you have to have practically identical color pen and paint

Drawing the lines with a paint pen, and then go after it with the airbrush. A good thing would be, if you could buy paint pen's, which you could fill with your own color...can you tell, what kind of color is in the paint pen?...by the way, I was on the woofer homepage and saw your Panther tank....nice work, as usual, I have a Panther too, but it comes without the shelter along the sides. How did you manufacture them, or is it possible to buy them?

hy flybox, thank you for asking. I described in on the topic ....some more pics from Germany....primariliy I used the weathering set from Tamiya on the Me and on the green Dora...and when finished, dont forget to seal it with clear coat....

I just cut them out of sheet plastic with a dremel, then cut into separate pieces then make the tabs that hold them together and attach them.

The paint pen trick is paint a box with the pen then take the painted part to sherwin williams and they will make you paint that is perfect match
