Corgi 1/32 Spitfire PR F

Post by 456THBG » Wed Apr 06, 2011 3:40 pm

Just recieved this today...Won it off ebay, new, for great price. Seriously wanted a Corgi 1/32 Spitfire, had missed out on several (outbid), think this might be the first one produced?
Can anyone enlighten me on the history of PR F?
By the way, I love it! Great paint & detail, goes well with my Corgi 1/32 Hurricanes!

If you look inside the box lid, there should be a history write-up about the plane and pilot. I love the Corgi 1/32 Spitfires (I have 2) and I think they are a great piece of diecast. Congrats on getting one at a reasonable price..

Thanks! Found out it's now in the RAF Museum in Hendon!

Congrats on getting your first Corgi 1/32 Spitfire, 456THBG.

I love all the Corgi 1/32 models, and the Spitfire is very well done, and one of the most iconic aircraft ever. And it will be a great "wingman" to your Corgi Hurricanes.

I have six of these Spitfires, and each one is special. Ironically, PR F was my second last Spitfire purchase, and she is a beauty. Heck, they are all beautiful. Recently got the "battle scarred" Lane Spitfire for a great price, as this one commands big bucks. One of the most sought after ones.

If you have the money, and the space, you should get the Corgi 1/32 Mosquito. Fantastic model, and very heavy. There is a new one coming out in about six months, and this will sell out quickly I believe, and if you want one, this would be the time to take the plunge.

Thanks for the "heads-up" Snake...

I do have the new Mosquito on order, it will be my first from Corgi!

This could be an expensive year for collectors, what with the new BBI F16 and the new Hartman 109 - Got those on preorder too...
