HA7712 - P-51D Mustang 1/48 Die Cast Model - Signature Edition: "Old Crow," C.E. "Bud" Anderson, 357th Fighter Group, 1944
This is the first-ever signature edition model from Hobby Master, and one you definitely want to get your hands on! Hand signed by ace Col. Clarence “Bud” Anderson (who recorded 16¼ victories in WWII) and limited to only 300 worldwide, this P-51 “Old Crow” model is one everyone will be talking about. We expect this one to be very popular.

Re: HM signature series 1st release
There are actually 2 releases of this bird, 7712a and 7712b. One is the signature edition and the other is the regular release. I have both on pre-order.. ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: HM signature series 1st release
Hmm... Maybe this paint scheme will finally convince me to break down and get the HobbyMaster 1:48 P-51
I've always liked this version of Bud Anderson's plane the best out of the several "Old Crows" he flew druing the war and of P-51Ds in general ![Cool 8)](./images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

You seriously need to get Preddy's Cripes a Mighty... It is a fantastic piece of diecast and you won't be disappointed. (and if you are, I'll buy it from you at full retail)

Re: HM signature series 1st release
Yet another great, and smart release from HM.
This company actually listens to its customers, and is very open to suggestions, ideas, and improvements.
Their 1/48 line is very good, and they are expanding it all the time. I only have the "Tuskegee" in P-51's so far, as I have the "Cripes" in 1/35 by GMP.
But this Old Crow will be a must have for me, as I love the scheme, and the pilot. And I would really like to get the signature series, as long as it isn't too expensive.
This company just goes from strength to strength.

Re: HM signature series 1st release
Hi guys, I have been gone for a while but it was the Hobby Master 48th scale P-51 that got me back in the hobby. Last week my brother gave me one for a birthday gift, and wow this plane is beautiful. I just placed an order for two more, and I can't get over what a great looking model it is. Hobby Master is first rate in my book.

Re: HM signature series 1st release
i think these will be very collectible and they have a small series run so they will be hard to find when word gets out

Re: HM signature series 1st release
Hey bird,
These are 1/48. Which is a good thing, as I find 1/72 too small for single engined prop fighters.
But 1/72 has a stunning amount of aircraft, and manufacturers to choose from.
