Collectors Showcase question

Post by dragon53 » Wed Mar 09, 2011 10:12 am

Questions about Collectors Showcase armored vehicles;

1. In terms of detail and accuracy, how does CS compare to FOV's 1/16 and 1/32 armor?

2. what's a good deal price, percentage-wise, for a CS armor?

* Hi "dragon53" ... I've got a 1/30th CS Italian Afrika Korps version Autoblinda AB43 armored scout car
(they made a Normandy & BoB one too) which I think is comparable to K & C but a little better I think in detail & accuracy. To me , it doesn't compare @ all to FoV or 1:32nd scale armor unless you're going to put it in the background w/ other scales. It's best as a stand alone piece for the most part. CS stuff is pretty nice though. Mine is a ltd. edition piece of 300 .

* Comes w/ three figures , one w/ a jack + one of the front wheels comes off so you can display it as a disabled vehicle as well.

* I bought mine off eBaY for about $125.oo ... you might do better . It pays to shop around.

................. does this help ?

MG-42:

Thanks for the reply.
Are you saying Collectors Showcase is inferior to FOV?

I'm asking because the official PR photos I've seen of CS armor are extremely impressive. However, I saw photos taken by a modeler's real CS tank, and the tank didn't look nearly as impressive as the official PR photo (the same is true of FOV 1/32---the models in the photos always look better than the real models).
