Sorry guys, but I see no difference in size when used in vehicle crews between 1/16 and 1/18 figs. I have both and as anybody who has ever been in a crowd knows..... people come in different sizes, some tall, some short, some fat and some thin.

The pic of the 2 1/16 guys and the 1/18 tanker in the middle appears like a normal group of tankers.

When you are not showing weapons that don't quite match perfectly, nothing is wrong with mixing the two scales. In WW2, most tankers were smaller than the average guys anyway.

Do what you want and be happy in what you do.

You forget TTT, the middle 1/18 guy is on his stand. You take him off that and he would look more child-like than I think you are appreciating. Maybe he can be an HJ tanker lol!

I think it was Tom Clancy in one of those top 10 tanks programs on Military Channel " the average Russian tanker was 5' 2" tall. Munchkin land "

I know my fat azz would not be able to work in any WW2 armor.

There was a WW2 sub in Mobile AL that you were able to get inside of. I lasted about 60 seconds and had to get out of there. I kept on bumping into and hitting my head on things .

I am 6' 2" and weigh in at 325.

Back then I was weighed in at 225

Well, I'm 6'2", and my experience actually driving WW2 vehicles in parades and the like, is that my height and 240lb build makes it very hard to fit behind the steering wheel of a Jeep. That's the main reason why I collected 1/1 antique trucks and military trucks from 3/4 up.

I was offered a Stuart tank to drive but just a cruise around a lot with my knees and elbows all over the place, even with the hatch open, I felt that I was gonna kill somebody and instead, I drove a 1 1/2 ton Chevy radio van from Floyd Bennet Field in Bklyn all the way to upper Manhattan. A once in a lifetime parade with well over 100 WW2 vehicles. Even that big Chevy had a huge steering wheel sticking in my gut.

Back on thread, my 1/16 half a guy tank commanders are exactly the same as my 1/18 guys from the waist up. Same waist, same head size and shoulder width. I use them both to crew my vehicles. OK, don't stand them together but only we know the difference.

I also agree with TTT, people do come in different sizes and when you can only see the torso up, like in a tank turret its all the same as far as Im concerned. Although I know there has to be a market for 1/16 soldiers and tankers fully finished like 21st Cen and the other 1/18 companies did. Imagine a set of 12 or so fully done Russians in summer or snow gear in crouched positions that can be placed atop your RC KV-1 or T-34, It would make 1/16 allot cooler.

I just love the case, I had to modify it a bit for the tanks, but for under $150, it's a steal.
