Custom 1/32 vehicles/armor
Last September at the Toy Soldier Show held in the Chicago area, one of the vendors had a booth with all types of 1/32 custom WWII vehicles and armor. There was everything from VW's to Soviet and German trucks, tanks, to US ambulances, to US staff cars, etc. They were extremely well done and expensive. After studying the fine work, I thought of customizing some die cast I already had and others I later purchased.
When you consider both Germany and the USSR had Ford and other US companies manufacturing vehicles in their countries, I now have Soviet trucks, Model A's, a Soviet fuel truck, British 8th Army Chevy flat beds, etc. No one will probably ever make such die cast vehicles. I've converted some Ertls and other die cast vehicles. It's keeping me busy and I now have trucks and other assorted vehicles for different armies. It's a lot cheaper than what I saw at the show...

Sadly, I'm not computer savvy enough. Sorry.

ketelone,
Regarding the Toy Soldier Show held in the Chicago area, were there many vendors for armors? The show is coming to Los Angeles in March 6th. I am mostly interested in armors, military planes and diorama (toy soldiers, not so much). Do you think it would be worth it for me to attend the show? If not, since I have never attended any shows, can you recommend me a show for military armor and planes?

I believe you are talking about Scott Schleh's stuff. I was not lucky enough to be at the show, but while I was perusing another forum someone posted pictures of Scott's work and it sounds like what you described. Here is a link to the thread with pictures:

Panzer,
It could very well have been Scott's work. I do not remember the vendor's name. That rocket sure looks familiar though...
TPark,
I am not familiar with the California show but I'll bet they would have what you are seeking. It's great being able to see first hand to eyeball the various products. If it's anything like the Chicago show, you will also be able to shop and compare and negotiate for the best prices. You usually can also find hard to locate or retired stuff. I recommend you check it out.

Apparently the show is organized by the same people who runs the Chicago Toy Soldier Show. During the year, they have shows scheduled all over the United States. Thank you for your recommendation. I will definitely attend the show.ketelone wrote:Panzer,

Thanks for mentioning this show! I hadn't known of any shows close to my location, and despite that one still not being exactly just around the corner, I think I still might try and attend.
