Ok the T-34 is underway. Hopefully I will get done with the molds next week and get production under way.
I am thinking of side stepping the Howitzer and start on the Horten.
This is not set in stone yet, but it seems that the Horten is popular.
The landing gear may just be the most work on the project.
If I totally side step it omitting the gear will expadite the project all the while lowering the price.
By omitting the gear it will also be easier in making the model kit .
Maybe Pizza Guy could make one of his cool stands for this project .
If the stand were available it would be a lot easier to display as well as be a little safer.
But not having the gear shuts down any diorama chancess. I could definitly make the gear as an option.
Price savings by omitting the gear would be about $25-$30.
Which would drop the price about $225-$ 275 est. And $375-$425 for the full build .
THIS IS ALL APRX.
Sorry for so much posts on the same subject. But the gear option should be addressed.
You guys who are getting this please vote.

Who wants landing gear on their Ho-229 ?

Cost is my driving factor and I would probably display it hanging, so no gear for me. $225 with no gear makes me a buyer. Thanks for doing this project.

I would buy the gear if you made them, or make them if you didn't. I don't hang my planes, preferring the "sitting on the ramp" look made possible by 1/18th scale.

Was it for this my life I sought? Maybe so, and maybe not...

No gear for me

Pickel, I'd like landing gear. Omitting it to ease production and cut costs, well that would be fine.
I could make custom gear for my 229. You'll have to see what others say.

I am in for the stand. I would need some dimensions. Got plans?

Given only one choice, I would go with gear up. But it is a very close call.
In a perfect world, the interchangable gear up/gear down parts would be my preference.
Pickel, one question. As this will be made out of resin? it will be very heavy. So the landing gear will have to be very sturdy. How would you address this problem, while still keeping it to scale.
And thanks to pizzaguy for stepping up to the plate, and doing a stand for us. Way to go Nathan.

If the price difference is only $30, I would prefer the gear. It is hard to sell a plane with no gear on eBay. Personally I don't need the gear as I will hang mine.
If it were me I would leave it as an optional add on, that way I could order 2 with gear to sell and 1 without gear for myself.
In the other post, you mentioned considering to also do the nightfighter, 2 seat version....
PLEASE!!!!!!
That and the He 219 would be the holy grail of custom 1/18 planes for me...
