1/32 Spitfire and JU-88

Post by krieglok » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:37 pm

Revell has a early version Spitfire and a JU-88 out in 1/32 now. I just bought both from Squadron-Signal. The Spit looks to be an easy build and it has working landing gear. The JU-88 is fairly well detailed. Spit was about $25 and the JU-88 was around $50...

How is the 88 different from the one they released last year?

I went to my local hobby shop today and neither of these models were in yet. I'm going to keep looking.

I have an Me-110 they had out last year. The JU-88 just showed up in the Squadron catalog along with the Spit and a few others. I pretty much limit my model purchases to Squadron and the local shop. I didnt know the JU-88 was previously available...

The 110 is just a retool of an older mold I believe - at any rate the 110's have been available for a long while and there is also a night fighter version you can find on ebay quite often. The 88's have dropped a bit in price over the year. I think the cheapest I've seen with shipping has been $67, so unless Squadron ships at the higher rates you got a good price for it.

I hope you know an Arado seaplane and an He-111 are due from Revell in January in 1/32 as well.

The Ju-88 was $58 but they are sold out now at Squadron. Squadrons shipping is fairly cheap. Buy over $100 and shipping is free

I saw the Arado but not the He-111. Nice. I will have to cull out some 1:18 21st stuff to make room...
