DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
Has anyone seen one of these? It looks close to 1/18 scale.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
Well I checked the dimentions on Wiki
The add says
Length=14
Hweight = 7
Depth ? =7
True 1/18th scale should be
Length with winch = 15.38
Height = 6.22
Width/ Depth ? 5.33
So it IS close to 1/18 scale !!!!!
Anybody brave enough to get it and see ?

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
The dimensions on this CCKW says 14" x 7" x 8" and Depth 7". What the heck does " Depth" mean? Overall shipping length says 14.5" . If the length of the model is 14" it would be around 1/16? I'm guessing.
Actual 1/1 CCKW is length 270" x 88" wide and 110" high.
We sure could use a CCKW in 1/18 to tow all kinds of stuff. I'd even settle for 1/16.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
Wiki has the measurements for the full scale at
L=277
W=96
H=112
I guess the depth is width.
The length is a little short and the height and depth are a little wide.
1/32 scale would be crazy smaller
L=8.66
W=3
H=3.5
1/16 scale
L=17.31
W=6
H=7
So the scale is somewere between 1/18 scale and 16. It should work for 1/18 scale.
Anybody want to take the plunge ?

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
those dimensions are probably for the box the truck comes in, meaning the truck is quite a bit smaller. I think it's the FOV 1/32 Deuce.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
Well this retails at Target for $63.99. Foxhole Toys is selling the 1/32 Deuce for $54.99 and Badcat for $59.99. If this is the same truck and Foxhole Toys is undercutting Target by 14% I would be shocked. Also the pictures of the 1/32 Deuce show accessories that come with the 1/32 version (2 soldiers, boxes, etc..). Those are not show in the Target picture. Well I guess it only takes $63.99 to solve the mystery!!

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
at the bottom of the page, where it says 'customers also liked these items' it's a bunch of FOV 1/32 vehicles. It's the FOV duece for sure. Why it's more money is anyone's guess.
But it ain't 1/18.....the picture shows a beautifully proportioned truck, while the dimensions are cockeyed for the Duece in 1/18....too short, wide etc. I'm sure it's the fov. Plus the package size is 14.5 inches, while the truck is supposedly 14 inches long. That means the box the truck comes in plus the package around it is a half inch total? Nope.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
I contacted Target's retail sales and had them check. It is the FOV 1/32 duece and a 1/2. Oh well, had me excited for a moment.
Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
Forces of Valor 2 different versions in 1:32. 1 has cargo area covered and the other is open with just the rails. Price is high. small joes has them for 45.99

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
Target carried that 1:32 FOV truck in the toy isle, though it was the non-enthusiast's version without the weathering and a lot cheaper. Chances are it's the FOV weathered version for that price.
It really is too bad 21st didn't do the GMC, and the many different versions treatment they gave to the Dodge Power Wagon. I'd have bought a bunch of them.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
CCKW standard cargo truck
Same truck with a hard top
Either with a ring mount .50cal (in standard TOE, every fifth truck had a .50cal for AA protection
Short bed with two spare tires behind cab
Long bed
Airborne version (was capable of being broken down into two pieces)
Tanker version
Version with The Number Seven set (big chain fall on a large skeleton for changing engines or moving cargo)
Truck with chassis only
And the best of all, the regular CCKW chassis and the amphibious DUKW
To wet your apatite, here is a standard CCKW, made in 1/6 and wood:

Wow, that's an awesome 1:6 Duece 1/2!!! Who makes it? Is it a one off? Never seen one before.
There's a CCKW command car here in town behind a mechanic shop. I need to take a pic of it if it's still there.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
The wood CCKW is custom made by THE OCBubba, I believe the OC is from around Las Vegas, but I'm not sure. I have no link for him. He makes a kit that is a basic start to make an extraordinary vehicle by adding all sorts of stuff of your own. The basic kit (which is a complete vehicle) is around $400 and is huge by 1/18 standards.
I'd be interested in seeing pics of your "CCKW command car". Sounds like you are looking at a 1/2 ton command car, the 1/2 tom CC hood is kind of like the CCKW hood.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
That really is remarkable. That's not too bad a price either considering the prices of 1:6 vehicles these days.
Is that yours TTT? I know you got a lot of 1:6.
I just sold off most of my 12" GI Joes, but I can't part with my 21C stuff, the 1:6 M3 Scout Car, M5 Stuarts, Dodge Command Car, Afrika Korp Cycle and Jeep with driver and Patton.
I'll try to get over there soon and take a pic of that 1/2 ton.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
No, the duece & half isn't mine. I've got alot of 1/6 but the duece is just too big for my collection right now especially when I need room for the Panzer II, to be released sometime soon.
I am trying to realign my collection now. Besides the Pz II, I need room to display some 1/18 planes and helos, kept in my "vault" far too long and every time I think I'm almost there, Pickel or DML or DID comes up with something new and blam, no more room. I've been thinking of buying a second house to keep my toys in. Sounds great, plenty of room for toys and room for guest bedrooms and room for maybe a new 1/1 MV, 3/4 or Jeep. Been waiting for a house like mine close to me. Just waiting for one of my neighbors to kick the bucket. Not wishing anybody harm, just waiting.
You just never know.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
TTT, that Command Car was gone. It was behind a mechanics shop. Oh well.
Guess they fixed it or sold it.
I do remember it having the narrower "hood" on it just like the Deuce 1/2 instead of the flatter hood we got with our WC-57 1:6 and 1:18 Command Cars.
The more you dig into this info the more cool stuff you find. It looked much like some of the ones here:
http://www.vintagemilitarytrucks.com/WW2%20Dodge.htm
I could have sworn it was this one though you can't quite make out the front end shape (2nd row down, middle CCKW Hood?) http://arrowhead-mvpa.com/Arrowhead%20Members.htm
Plenty of variations that would have been cool to see realized in 1:18 or 1:6.
Hope you make out on some kinda man-cave house. That or I thought an old abandoned elementary school would be cool. The gym or assembly hall would have airplanes hanging all over the place. Plenty of room to display those 1:1 vehicles too.

Re: DEUCE AND A HALF IN 1/18ISH?
The pic you mention of the Arrowhead MV Club is indeed a 1/2 ton Command Car. It is a WC-6, not as the caption says a "WC-57". I am surprised at the Arrowhead club making such a basic error. They even have a correctly labeled pic of a WC-57 in a row a few down from the mislabeled 1/2 ton CC. That's strange because from my experience with other MV guys, anybody finding and restoring a 1/2 ton CC is usually very proud of their accomplishments. I was into mostly 3/4 up to 1 1/2 vehicles but did "rescue" more than a few vehicles to hold until somebody was able to take it and restore it, including a 1/2 weapons carrier that I kept for a year before selling it to a 1/2 ton fanatic. The 1/2 was abandoned and mostly junk when I got it but is restored now. I just didn't want to see it go to the scrapper.
My Webshots album of vehicles belonging to me or mostly buddies. My vehicles were the Command Car, M-37, M-715, M-880, 1 1/2 ton Chevy, 57mm Anti Tank gun. I had partial ownership of a few other vehicles.
http://news.webshots.com/album/263941044HBZJmz
The first CCKW pic with the Number 7 set is something I'd sure like to see in 1/18.
