Awesome paint job! No spots. Light up feature and slightly reinforced landing gear.

Was it the infamous AV/Windows Secuirty Suite virus? I've gotten a different version of it every other week. A lot of image links from google are infected by it too. Takes hours to get rid of and the virus gets more complex each time.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but why did you have to purchase a new pc when you picked up the virus? Did you lose your restore disks? Reinstalling the OS should do the trick. You would just have to back up any important files and then run the install disk and update accordingly.

As far as the F-14 goes, it sure looks nice. I have the lighted spotcat and still love it. It is awesome, spots and all.

yeah would have been nice if my wife would have done that like she told me. but even so the computer was completely fried, it would not even bring up dos, all it would do when you turn it on is reboot itself every 10 seconds, we tried all kinds of stuff, none would work, even tried a different windows program, nothing. we don't know what virus this was but it facebook was the last page i used before the computer went to heck. but can't complain we got a new computer and windows 7.

Some viruses can be tough. If you can't get into the bios to boot to an internal/external cd drive the restore disks can't help you. I run into quite a few machines at work that need to re-imaged because the users will pick up a virus. My brother would stop over at my house and play those Facebox (I know it's facebook) games and he caught a pretty nasty virus. I had a ton of pictures on the hard drive and no external storage device so I just ran out and bought a 1TB hard drive for $80, moved the pics over and reformatted my older smaller drive and use that as storage.

Now that is what a JSI Tomcat should look like.

Very nice, trex0770. 8)

I have had similar pc issues lately. I got rootkit TDSS from google and from photobucket. Obviously it lays in wait until you enter the infected web page. I have had to reload XP 3 times in the last 6 months. No hard drive corruption just explorer corruption and 2 weeks ago on google search I got it and had the blue screen of death every reboot. I reformatted and reloaded XP and OK.
buy the way F-14 looks great. Wish I would have known I would have got one of those instead of the spotcat.

Got one of the first ones from Aviator Nut. We are still waiting for the bomb loads that are supposed to come with them. The ones we got are resin.
Anyone hear anything about the loads coming for the first issue?
Thanks

That is what happened to me

I wished I had your pc skills to fix my problem.

I went and got a new pc and still can't set it up down load pics or anything.

Again I wish that I could have fixed mine like yours so I can continue life as I knew it .

I finally gave up the PC world and all its crashes and virus's and bought a MAC. Cost more but still runs with no problems or Blue Screen of Death. I suppose you get what you pay for. No more PC's for me.

Sorry about that f14guy! This is the first time I've had a virus in the 5+ years I've had this computer as I've kept it pretty secure. I usually run 4 different virus scans at least every other day as well as keeping my all my security/firewall/spyware software updated regularly.
I ran another scan (with different software) after your post and I quarantined what I believe is the offending virus (win32:KillAp-W).

Really like this version...I hope it gets issued soon, I'll probably get one if they become available. I really love the big jets :D

I have. Awesome work! I've actually been contemplating getting another F-14 and getting it repainted by one of you talented customizers.
