bravo team sherman worth getting?

Post by aferguson » Sun Nov 21, 2010 9:39 am

i have a few 21c shermans but never got a bravo team one. Is it worth getting? The casting of the turret looks overly done to me but otherwise it seems ok.

opinions?

The 21c Sherman's are better.

However, when you field a Bravo team Sherman near a 21c it will give you visual variety. I was lucky and found my Shermans on sale. My guess is that if you could find one for under $25 you'd never regret it.

If this helps, I like the Bravo team Tiger as well ... but again, 21c has a better armor. The nice thing about both Bravo team tanks is they feel toy like and move nicely. I don't worry about breaking them.

well i'm thinking of building a small armoured column and the 21c shermans are getting to expensive so i thought of the Bravo one as an alternative.

Is the brown and green sherman accurate to europe, italy?

since 21C death we have been selling alot of the Bravo Sherman's. i agree with above that the 21C version has a bit more detailing. but even with my limited skill ive been able to make them far better.

The 21c Sherman is superior and the BBI Sherman a work of art compared to the FOV tank, however, the FOV tank is not all that bad. It does have its drawbacks in that the drivers hatches do not open, the tools are moulded on, and the casting effect on the turret is perhaps overdone. Still, its accurate enough to add some variety to one's 1:18 armor and is a very good base for customization. At the very least, one can cover the tank with some Build-a-Rama 1:18 scale stowage and it should come out looking pretty nice.

Yes get it.

You can do so much with it.

They are kind of cheap and easy to get .

Not to mention, Pickel has some very nice conversions made easy with the FOA Shermie being used as a base.

I just picked up a cheap used FOA that was used but the vehicle will be used for Pickel's M-10 conversion so the top and turret will disappear anyway. If Pickel keeps making these mods, I'm going to end up with a entire shelf with different Shermies... Six now and counting.

FOA is very good for the money, these days.

Not sure.. so don't kill me.
I do not think that Sherman is correct for Normandy unless in British markings. It would resemble a Sherman Mk V then .
AFAIK the sherman M4a1 would be the most accurate for anything Normandy.
But im not positive

I have about 4 and I think they are well worth the 25 bucks. However don't over spend on this one.
