Stone walls and rubble finally ready

I apologize for the long delay since I last said that these would be ready soon, work went crazy, the dog ate my homework, all the usual excuses... but now, a big batch has been made up and is ready to send out.



The way I'd like to run this initially is for me to offer a set of four of all the pieces that I have sculpted so far, pictured below. For $30, which includes shipping, you would receive four stone walls, four crumbled end pieces (two left and two right), four piles of stones, four piles of blocks, and four piles of bricks. They will all be cast in Hydrocal White gypsum cement (pigmented gray), sealed with resin, and finally painted with a wash of very dark brown/black. Bricks are dark red washed with brown. These parts are all handmade, so there might be an occasional air bubble in the gypsum that I don't get patched, but I do my best to touch everything up before I seal it. Since I'm new to this business, I'd strongly prefer to stick to Paypal payments until I get any unexpected kinks ironed out. If anything arrives broken, take a few pictures and I'll send a replacement.

Sure thing. Most of the guys and vehicles are still packed away after a recent move, so a paintbrush will have to stand in for a weapon. The bright, close-range flash makes the paint job on the walls look not so great, I'll work on better photos there. These were originally made as low garden or yard walls to go around the little cottage (about 2.5' high), I see the need now for for a four or five foot wall more immediately, I'll have that done tonight, see the last image for a rough idea of what those will look like, same wall, twice as high.

The double high wall will work for vehicles and for figures to hide behind, but it will be too tall for a figure to fire over it. You could make one section of wall a little higher for a figure to rest his weapon on the wall and fire over, another where a figure would be able to stand and fire and then the double wall to hide behind. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the feedback! The mold was just finished this afternoon for the high walls, I was able to get the height down enough to put a rifle over, I'm overall pretty pleased with the way they turned out. When I finish the house I'll work on a crumbled or otherwise stepped high wall. Razor, it seems like you had another comment at the end of your email that got clipped, I'd be happy to entertain more ideas.




Sadly, I broke my camera last week, so phone photos will have to suffice till I get it taken apart, three feet seems to be a bit to far to drop a DSLR. However, I have an update on the stone cottage, it is almost done, on track to be completed by next weekend. I've got some of the molds finished, I'm just trying to figure out an easy way to produce a lap joint at the corners so assembly is uncomplicated and uniform at home. The thatched roof is also getting a resculpt, widened a bit and made a little thicker. Plus, I'm thinking these things look better when I don't paint them, I think the default might become pigmented but unpainted, unless requested. Caution, some really bad photos below!
