Undersize but kewl 1/6 PBR...where'd this come from...?

Post by c44 » Sat Sep 11, 2010 6:56 pm

Hey, forgive me for straying into Ultimate Soldier territory, but anybody know who made this:

not to be confused with this:

PS OK, I know it looks more like an armored rowboat, but anybody tempted to spring for this? I'm taking a pass, but if I found one on my doorstep, I'd adopt it...

Hmmm...if second link doesn't work, try http://www.toymania.com/news/toyfair99/21C/
and head to the LSSC link (a copy & paste will work, too)...an example of what might have been in 21CT 1/6 land...

A few years ago a guy names Disimone made a limited amount of 1/6 vehicles, boats and planes, in a material more like concrete than resin or plastic. They were usually sightly smaller than true 1/6 scale except for the planes which were way under scale.

The vehicles were on scale, I have owned a 1/6 M4 Sherman, and T-34, and a pretty crappy WC-63. They were good bases for customized vehicles. He made a PBR and an AMTRAC. His vehicles still show up for sale occasionally.

His PBR could be this one, of course, heavily customized and over priced but not bad as it looks.

Sorry, forgot about his Opel Blitz, which I have seen turn into really good trucks.

And my T-34 and Sherman - all Desimone models
