21st Century Little Bird 1/18 question

Post by bravo5 » Wed Sep 14, 2005 9:39 pm

What happened to the plans for 21st Century to release the Little Bird? I know it was shown at Toyfair a few years back in the prototype stage but nothing ever came of it. Has it been deep sixed or will it come out. Also, are there any more modern figures planned with the new articulation?

Good questions.

I would like to know also on the modern front what`s going on.

Also any chance we`re going to see a AV-8B Harrier at all?

I will be SHOCKED if 21st makes a 1:18 LB. Yes, the bbi version was not quite an LB, but it is $ for $ one of the best 1:18 pieces ever. I think Mike even mentioned it is a volume seller for bbi. I would not expect there to be much market left for that bird at this point. If 21st were to tackle a bbi helo I would say do the BH - plenty of room for improvement there.

I wouldn't hold breath for Harrier either, though I could see bbi looking at that down the line.

Well for the LB I think the PTE tops the BBI one ins size & more inline with US issued LBs.

After all the one BBI did was based on an IDF version. Now not much call for that amongst customizers/collectors.I for one don`t know anyone who has a IDF custom team to use it for starters.

As for BBI being the one`s to do the harrier,i think your probably right there.

Just ashame we again have seen 21st Blast the way & then let EVERYONE else take the lead over them :(

They did it with 1/6th & XD & well in both there lagging behind.
