Officially out of things to buy

Post by zzzippper » Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:51 pm

After a busy night of successfully mixing bourbon, the interwebs, and my credit card; I now have nothing left to buy. Unless I branch out into other eras besides pre-WWII and WWII aircraft and WWII armor or into other scales besides 1:32 and 1:48.

I could start buying 109s with a blue-eyed pilot instead of brown-eyed and things like that but I have one of most types and multiples of some favorites. I could try to buy every release in my area of interest but I really am not into the trucks, etc. I like the big boys.

I guess I will try to focus on the ones I want that I missed out on like a FOV Matilda. The only Brit tank I have is an American made Lee. No Jap tanks, only one Russian T-34/85 (KV1 on the way).

Sigh, oh well...

never say never

I ended up buying late last night, the S1 DragonArmour 251/1 ausf.C Großdeutschland Grau, missing the Kursk '43 GD 251. But I figure the grey HT will look good with the grey 251/7 ausf.C and future HM Pz II C for the Blitzkrieg era stuff.

My only saving grace is that I don't do ebay. But in either event, I lied. I went to Flying Mule and found they still have the McCluskey Dauntless so what the hell? I added on a couple pre-war fighters that I already had but not in those colors.

on a side note: I hope FoV keeps up with the truck theme. There isn't a Ford V3000 yet in 1/72 unless you look at the 1/76 scale(over-scaled 72nd) SHQ white metal ones.

Oooh, Owww! I've been wanting both of these. A bit pricey even for a sick person like myself.

A dangerous combination.Alcohol, internet, and your credit card.

There is still lots that you don't have in these scales, zzzipper.

Too much to list, but Corgi 1/32 comes to mind first.Spitfires, Hurricanes, P-51's,Me 109's, and Mosquitoes.

GMP 1/35 are fantastic. You should try one of these, as you seem to be picking up a lot of models lately.

Lots of 21C 1/32 models available as well.

And in 1/48 there is Eagles International, Carousel, Hobby Master, and Franklin Mint.

So, you still have tons of choices in these scales. You are just starting out, and am sure that there are fantastic models that you are unaware of. It does take time to get a real feel for what is available, and what you like.

I would definitely suggest Ebay.Going through dealers only, really limits what is available.
