HM F-105D Thunderchief

Post by ostketten » Sun Aug 01, 2010 7:27 am

I recently got a substantial "store credit" from an online seller for some damaged items I received, and though I'm not a modern AC collector I've always been a fan of the "Century Series" of US jets, especially the F-105 "Thud", and based on a recommendation from one of our members (thanks Jack 8) ) I decided to use my credit to pick up this Hobby Master 1/72 Thunderchief. The AC represents an F-105D of the 6441st Tactical Fighter Wing, Takhli Thailand, 1965. I like the natural metal finish on this Cold Warrior, but this is a such a nice model I may eventually get one of the SEA camo versions. Hope you guys like the pics. Click to enlarge...

Glad you like your "Thud", Scott.

Looks great, especially on the tarmac. 8)

Personally, when I think of the "Thud",I think Vietnam, and the SEA camo scheme.

I have two of these in this camo.

HM is soon releasing another F-105 in Euro 1 camo.

I do see another camo "Thud" in your future, Scott.
