Higgins Boat?

Post by Tanker85 » Sat Jul 31, 2010 5:22 pm

I was wondering if Grunt1 was still working on his 1/18 Higgins boat?
There seemed to be a small following on it but info slowly stopped flowing.
I haven't bought many customs but this is one I've always hoped would be made. I don't want to step on any toes but if Grunt1 has decided not to finish it, would it be up for consideration that PH take up the project? I would be happy if someone would make it. Just inquiring on the interest still out there.
:?:
Thanks
Eric

I missed this one, that would be a really neat model, how large would that make it in 1/18?

I always hoped 21C would put one out. I think RED may have made one at one time.

I believe the dem. for the LSVP in 1/18 are... 24.16 in length and 7.22 in in width. Thats a fairly large model, but has great playability, I mean versatility Hmm Hmm.

Red made an awesome amtrack and segment of a troop ship. He has an excellent sense of perspective and realism in his dioramas.

That's what went wrong with my first LCVP project. The measurements matched the ones listed here, but the boat turned out too small so I'm trying again. It will look the same, just bigger and more to perspective with 21C figures.

Thanks for piping in Grunt1. I was hoping that this project was not dead in the water. I am interested in its completion so keep us posted.

Thanks
Eric
