I found it but it's like 20$ shipped for a tube, none of my LHS carry it. Need to to zimm my Pz IV H and J kits(1/72 Zimm is going to fun..prob not) but resin/photo etch kits(Need two to do a complete job on per tank. 4 resin parts and the rest p/e which would be about 30$ in aftermarket for a 17.00 model)
So I am taking the advice of some builders who have done the kits, and going with putty, and to make the pattern with a micro screwdriver or piece of scrap P/E sprue < one reason the extras and waste stay with the boxes when I build, you never know when you might need something for something or someone.

Forget about the mili putty.
Use multi pupose tile mastic.
It is acrylic easy to use and is easily removed if you goof.
The only draw back is that you need to let it set up for 2-3 days.
You can get it at Lowes or Home Depot in small containers .
If it is too thick for your use you can mix it with a tad of water to thin it.
Get a tiny container use it on the bottom of the model to practice your ridging.
