That's cool! Gotta have the PZ IV with the skirts! Tank without the skirts seems to be missing something.

An interesting decovery. I got the new Euro Panzer that has the shirking the other day and it is not diecast. Also the wheels are different on how the put them on. Other than that they are alike. The Euro Panzer is a very cool addition if you can find a member or an on line to get one from. I wonder if the other versions planned with the shirking will be diecast or plastic? One cool thing about plastic is it's eazier to customize.

I hope it looks good on their shelves. At that price I won't be buying one.
Still, I can understand the high price if they had to buy them from other retail sources. I hope they show up here @ walmart sometime.

Well, my familiy owns a toyshop in germany and we tried to order some planes/tanks directly from 21st C. a couple of month ago. But shipping costs are unbelievable high for those big items so I guess Bad Cat has no other choice but to price it like they do if they don´t want to loose money. As for availability of the european panzers I asked 21st C. directly and I also wrote to the only distributor here in europe and they both replied that this item was only produced for this distributor and he also bought the whole production run. The Pips Priller Focke Wulf is limited to 2000pcs so I guess that´s also the case with the panzers. So I think there won´t be any panzer IV like this in the US except for those bought in europe and shipped to the US which explains the high price you guys have to pay for it. But that´s only for this item. For other (future) paint schemes we here in europe have to pay the high shipping costs again to get them from the US! ;-) ;-) But well, I LOVE those items so it´s worth the money.........................

there will be Panzer IV repaints in North America that have the sideskirts. The paint schemes will be different from the Europe exclusive but they will have sideskirts, which in my mind is by far the most important factor.

I don't really think the paint scheme is all that hot anyway and if i did i could just repaint one to look like that..

That said i think the BCT price is quite fair considering he probably paid retail for it (or traded merchandise he could sell for retail) and had to fork out high shipping costs etc. He deserves to make some money for his efforts. I suspect he will sell all he has quite quickly.. And i think that price is better than one could do on Ebay.

Thank you for that reassurance, aferguson! I'll wait for the US release, and hope for a better paint scheme anyway.

Yep, I'll wait for the US versions to appear too. Although it would be nice to have the Euro version that BC is offering, that is a pretty steep price to pay for a tank.

I'm hoping for a nice plain color like the Tiger's initial paintscheme or winter... But I agree with Aferg that I'm not hot on that paintjob so it's not too tough to pass. It's nice enough I just don't have things that complement it well which is what I prefer (as opposed to a wide variety of paintjobs on all the armor on the shelf).

I got my first Euro-Panzer today thanks to digger. Not a bad paint job. It looks a lot better out of the box. I plan on useing the side armor as a pattern for my other Panzer IV's.

That is a rather high price, so I guess I'll wait until the later USA-produced ones have the skirts.

I just think the skirts look really neat and help give the Panzer IV "that look," if you know what I mean.

S3 PanzerIV

Post by markecho » Tue Sep 20, 2005 2:09 pm

I think the S3 (next U.S. version) release is going to be ambush pattern just like the Panther. (as showed at Comic Con)
I sure hope they hit here soon! We are already talking about the new tank being released next year! ? !

Folks, that is just the standard 3 color scheme, it is NOT an ambush paint scheme.. But it does look nice..

This.... Is an Ambush paint scheme..

dooh!

Post by markecho » Wed Sep 21, 2005 8:17 am

ah crap! sorry bout that - thanks hworth18 for the correction - for some reason i forgot about the true ambush pattern - for some reason the term ambush just popped in my head - and 21stC had that scheme for their panther.
yeah S3 panzer IV is just called camo?
i'm hoping we see S3 of the Panzer IV soon...either at BC or followed much later at wally. just would be nice to have another tank that matches the 21st S1 panther :)

and the new tank that i was talking about was the one that is being discussed here:

I would probably just call it a "Late War" scheme..
