UNBELIEVABLE RED CROSS SALE AT BCT!!!!!

Post by Teamski » Tue Aug 30, 2005 10:43 pm

 I don't know how they do it, but BCT is having a RED CROSS sale whereby the proceeds go to the Red Cross in support of the Hurricane Katrina relief. Check out the prices!!! Get 'em while you can!

Hats off to Matt and Rob for such a noble gesture. Thanks guys..... :D

Cool, I just ordered the "Graf" 109, "Eileen" Bubbletop, and Eastern Camo Tiger 1.

Just one more example of why Bad Cat is one of the best sites to shop from.

Wow. Kudos to BadCat. You just set yourself apart from the rest with that move. It's nice to see people not worried about themselves all the time, especially any buisness or the like. Very respectable and thoughtful.
I will have to order now!

Let's see - I can help out and technically get an XD plane "free"? Very tempting. But, a stupid question for you experts - it looks like the ME109 has a bomb mounted. Does the Galland 109 come with a bomb?

Or, better question - which plane is a better XD product?

bomb? the graf 109 comes with a drop tank, as does the Galland 109 (which is actually incorrect as the 109's at that time could not be fitted with drop tanks). Neither comes with a bomb.

You're probably right. I was hoping it was a bomb I was seeing in the picture on BadCat. I'm a sucker for ordnance.

Does the Galland 109 have an improved wing over the origional ME-190E?

I just might break down and get one for that price, and for the sentimental reasons as well.

The 109G is by far the better XD product if I understood your question correctly.

Thanks! I had heard that they improved the cant (tilt) of the wings and that the wings were not quite as thick on the Galland (and other newer 190E releases) as opposed to the origional "White 12" version.

you guys are talking about two different things. The GALLAND version is a repaint of the original 109E white 12 and is unchanged structurally.

The GRAF version is the newer 109G and is totally redone, structurally.

Kudos to BCA for their generous contributions to the Red Cross and their awesome sales on various XD items. You can't go wrong by purchasing from this on-line retailer. :D

Ordered a Galland ME-190E. I already have the origional "White 12" version, and though this is the same type of plane (and I have a policy of not doing repaints), I just couldn't resist. The paint scheme is too cool, and its the mount of a famous pilot. Even with shipping, I still saved with the BCA sale than if I'd bought the plane for retail at my local Hobbytown store. Plus, the $36 is going to the Red Cross to help the hurrican victims :D

yes you did....

for a few days last week they had several items on sale for quite low prices with all proceeds being donated to the Red Cross for relief of the hurricane victims.

They still have most of the same items on sale still but now it is just a conventional Labor Day sale..
