Entire 32x collection, thinking about selling
Hey Guys,
Need some input on realistic prices for an entire 32x collection.
Out of respect for board rules, this is NOT FOR SALE at this time. Even though I'm member # 15 & was around since the Groundpounder days!
Word of warning to everyone, be careful when updating/changing e-mails. I did this & it sent a new, temporary password to an old e-mail I no longer had access to...you'll get locked out & have to re-sign up!
Anyway...... If I do decide to sell this, it will be as an entire lot only & with local pickup only. I have no desire to try to package all this for safe shipping. I just want to determine it's worth.
Here's what I have, multiples with be listed as x2, x3, etc....
New inBox:
FOV-251/9 Kanonwagen
FOV Panzer 4 Eastern Front, short barrel
~~
21st:
Marder III "139"
Hetzer
Heavy Artillery playset
6 planes:
"Red9" FW-190
"Hallowell" Corsair
"Red B" ME-262
"Yellow 4" BF-109
"Red 19" FE-190A
& yellow nose STUKA
Loose:
Planes--
ME 109/BF109 --X5
Zero --X2
Macchi--X2
P-47 --X4
FOV Spitfire
ME-262 --X2
FW-190 "candy cane belly"
P-40 "Flying Tigers"
Armor & vehicles:
"88" -gray
Prime Mover
JagdTiger
Pak-40
German armored car's --X3
38T
Marder
Sdkfz --X2
Whirblewind
"AA" Platform on panzer chassis
Panther tank -- X2
Panzer tanks, various versions -- X9
Tiger tanks--X4 (Note: 2 are FOV)
Sturmgeschutz --X4 (2 are FOV, but side skirts may be damaged)
King Tiger X2
Stuart--X2
M-24
US Jeep
British- "Matilda"
M-7 Priest
M-10
US Halftrack
Sherman --X3
Grant Tank, says "Kentucy" on side
Also, I have loose playset pieces, figures, accessories etc.... that will all be included.
Again, out of respect for board rules, NOT FOR SALE at this time. I'm just trying to get help for a realistic value & see if there's even any interest in entire collections.
Here's my thought: I was guessing somewhere around $400-$500 for everything. Is that high? low? stupid?
You tell me.......

Since I collect 32x armors, I will give it a shot.
Please note that I am giving price as if I were buying some of the items, say 10-15 AFVs, not the entire collection. Shipping price not included. The following price will interest me to buy:
Loose:
21st Century AFV $5-$10 each
FOV AFV $8-$13 each
Planes (new or loose) Since I don’t collect 32X planes, I have no idea.
New:
Cheaper than Ebay or vendors
To answer your questions, $400-$500 seems like a reasonable price. BUT, there are too many ifs involved.
IF someone needs the whole collection
IF someone is living near you (within an hour driving distance)
IF someone is willing to pay $400-$500 for the whole collection
I would like to make a suggestion. You may have sell them not as a set. You may have to ship them across the country. To reduce the “pain” of packaging and shipping multiple items, maybe you can stipulate that a minimum purchase of 10 items and as is (but provide photos of items before shipping to show nothing missing nor nothing broken).
I hope this helps.

Tparkhere,
Thanks for the input. I kind of figured as much. It would have to be the RIGHT person, in the RIGHT place, at the RIGHT time. Probably too many if's....
I was wanting to avoid breaking it up. I guess that may not be realistic.

Black Dragon One,
I'm close to leaving the hobby. Been in it since 2000. Things have kind of run their course for me.
I'll probably keep just a few key pieces,
I just don't have the need/desire to have all the items anymore. I figured it'd be better to get them in the hands of someone who could enjoy them more.
Thinking about doing the same with my 1:18 collection as well. Maybe thin the heard to just 10 or less favorites & sell the rest.
I'm back into playing Hockey after a 20yr. layoff & it's consuming all my time & energy. I realized the other day that I have an entire 12x16 bedroom covered floor to ceiling with stuff & I hadn't even stepped foot in the room in over 3 month's.
GO BLACKHAWKS

BDO,
Hope I didn't mislead you, I'm not unemployed or looking for money.
Thankfully I've got a great career.
I'm just reaching the disinterested phase of my collecting.
Like I said before, WAY more into hockey now, played for 2hrs again today & the Blackhawks won tonight!!!!

Pizzaguy,
I'll keep you updated. I think my "new" 6mo. anniversary is around mid July, so I won't move anything before then via the board. I want to respect all the trading/selling rules. You'd just need to let me know what you need/want & if I have it, I'll consider selling certain pieces then.
I know I'm thinking of going down to just 1 or 2 versions of stuff, I don't need or want 5 different versions of the Me-109 anymore

It seems that you are wanting to pass on your collection to people that appreciate them, I think thats great.
Most of my collection I have is from members here that have been kind enough to pass on, without them I would not have the collection I have today.
Ebay is okay, but to buy something from someone that you know meant something to them is really great and when and if I decide to sell, it will be here, these people have always treated me right and I thank all that I have had the pleasure to deal with.
Thanks, Jim

Ram,
Thanks for the kind words, I feel the same. I'd much rather see the items passed along to someone who maybe didn't get a chance the 1st time around.
Besides, I'm not going to liquidate everything
I'll keep just a few favorites for nostalgia.
Ok, off to watch game 3
GO BLACKHAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
