GeminiAces vs HM's A-1 Skyraider?

Post by Panzer_M » Wed May 12, 2010 2:26 pm

Don't have any of the Gemini planes, but how do they rate compared to HM?

Looking at GA Midway A-1 vs HM's A-1s.

GA's plane

I have both of the HM A-1's.They are very nice.

Also have two Gemini Aces F-4 Phantoms.Royal Navy "Ark Royal",and the just released RAF "Leuchars"These are also very nice, particularly the RAF "Leuchars" version. :D

A few members from a different forum have has some issues with their older Phantom.Mine was fine though. And everybody likes the RAF version.

You really can't go wrong with Hobby Master.

Given that they are both releasing the same plane  ,I would have to go with HM on this particular model.
Just because it is a "safer bet".But Gemini Aces certainly could produce a fine model.

I have both the US Navy version Skyraider, and the SEA camo USAF version. Two is enough for me.

my little plan is to get 4 of the HM A1s, and hang them in the missing-man configuration, with #3 positioned in a steep climb........ :D

panzer-
i looked on flying mule and they seem to be identical. maybe the loadout is different? do the models roll of the same assembly line with one piece going to the left (HM) and the next going to the right (Gemini)?
not sure,

I doubt it.They are two totally different companies.

But it does seem strange that Gemini Aces are releasing a basically identical Skyraider after Hobby Master.

The price differance in nil..less than 6 dollars between the two give or take depending on the vendor.

HM planes haven't let me down so far...I am loving my Italian Stuka for sure, although my Wespe 110G-2 & ZG76 110G-2/R3 are my favorite HM planes.
