F-16 Repaint - Likely?

Post by vulgarvulture » Mon Aug 29, 2005 8:21 am

What are the odds of a BBI F-16 repaint anytime soon?

I missed out on "Wolf", and am adverse to having to apply decals for a roll your own version for something that costs that much (it's a matter or principle, not ability).

Bad Cat will apply them for you if you pay the extra fee. The ones I have with "roll your own" have had no signs of problems.

i thought Badcat had another F-16 repaint, not Wolf, not the ANG's that already had the markings printed on. I'm sure they had it in fact.....is it sold out?

Yeah, must be sold out as I have not seen anything like that for a while. All the F-16s they have need decals.

Also, I definitely don't want to pay BCA to apply them either.

I guess I'm just hoping BBI will do another repaint sometime soon. :?

They do. Go to the "Exclusively Bad Cat" section. They have the Hill AFB version. Shows to still be in stock.

Well, Mike said they were doing a new production run, I would guess that means a new paint scheme. Since they did the Blue Angels for the F-18, maybe it'll be a Thunderbird? I'd rather see a combat version, personally, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the ambassador.

Thanks, B-dog.

But I recently contacted them and they've been out of stock for some time & don't know when a new shipment, if any, will arrive.

It's OK, I can be patient in waiting for either a re-issue or repaint.

Btw: the 2006 Thunderbirds will have a female pilot for the first time. Cool!:

Thanks again, I appreciate the effort. But they are out of stock too.

As an aside regarding that particular retailer, I respectfully caution all my fellow collectors to proceed with EXTREME caution. I've now made the command decision to only buy on-line through BCA even though I've got to pay the sales tax.

BCA is having a nice Labor Day sale on ANG F-16s. Could not resist the price and finally have a California ANG coming my way!
