My sources show Tigers of this Abt. being all solid panzer yellow at the time of Kursk in July, 1943. They also show these Tigers being panzer gray with whitewash during the Winter '42-'43. It is probable that they were still gray after the whitewash wore off during the spring and weren't painted yellow until they were repainted for the Kursk battle.

There is still the possibility as the order of colour change was issued in february 1943 that they might have left the factory in dark grey if produced in february 1943 and being still in dark grey in summer 1943
[few months later] as this repainting was not done overnight
what do you think?
