Good eye for detail FB
It's not presently accounted for. I just haven't found a material that I am happy with yet. It will be easy to add even if the rest of the plane is complete. Anyone have any ideas on materials for one?

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT! THE FEEDBACK MEANS A LOT WHEN IT COMES FROM ALL OF YOU THAT DO THE SAME KIND OF WORK. I CAN'T IMAGINE THE AMOUNT OF TIME INVOLVED IN MAKING PURE CUSTOM ITEMS, FOR REPAINTING AND DETAILING TAKES SO MUCH BY ITSELF.
I had to get a new computer since I did the decals for my Spitfire and I had lost the graphics program that I used for them. This weekend I searched until I found it again. Inkscape is the vector graphic program that I used. It is free and and very usefull when you are making custom decals. This is the kind of program you can use that will make clean lines on circles and angled lines. I will start working on the decals soon.
Here is the link to the free program download.

Buckyroo, if you don't mind my asking, how much filing did you do on the gear supports to get the correct stance?
That is an issue I have always had w/21C's 1/18 109G's (not so on their 1/32 versions)...It really became obvious when I got my BBI 109...I have been hesitant to modify the supports because I didn't know if BBI's were truly accurate, althhough they look much better.
Thanks, in advance, for any advise you can give.
(By the way, you're 109F conversion is looking great!)

I did file the brace arm that has the spring on it. The part of that arm that rests in the notch of the gear is, say, 1/4" long back to the point where it has the "U" shaped area that makes it easy to get a fingernail on for stowing the landing gear. This 1/4" piece was filed down half way and then tweeked until I was happy with the look. The end product may even be closer to 1/4 of the original size. Just go slow and test it to get the look you want.

Worked on decal design and did a mock up with taped-on items to check for size and look. These were made with the Inkscape program that I linked earlier.

looking good! I did one very similar to yours a couple years ago. I LOVE the sharp line along the fuse. Cool!
