My books indicate that tank it probably from schwer Panzer-abteilung 503 which operated in Normandy from July, 1944. This unit used the black numerals outlined in white and had a tank numbered "331". The placement of the numerals and the placement of spare track links on the turrent and not on the front plate are consistent with pictures of other tanks from this unit. I didn't find a picture of this particular tank, but other Tigers operating in Normandy had the binocular (two holes in mantlet) sight and the rubber-rimmed road wheels. The camo scheme is consistent with what you might expect to find during the Normandy time period as is the zimmerit.

Accurate or not, I was very pleased with this FOV model when I got it. The only other FOV Tiger I have is the first release and while the current Normandy version has the same tooling, the paintjob is quite professional and looks fantastic 8)
