WHOA! I hope a company like AllGoToys still has the blueprints and stuff behind this ready to build upon. Never thought I' see a prototype of this land on Ebay.
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:
F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

That is outrages.I hope it does not sell. Asking $6,000 is a kick in the nuts to who ever will buy it. Maybe $3,000 not $6,000
It is not even finished and the fusalage halves do not seem to fit well.

So wilt these prototypes going up for auction is that the end of it? Are molds made just in case they decide to issue them or is that the end of it?
I can see this happening with the Zero as was said it's an inferior sculpting (even though with some tweaking I think a Zeke would be welcome) but this is an A-10 a very much wanted aircraft by the 1:18 collecting community.
Did it go anywhere beyond prototype?

There goes your only chance of ever owning an A-10 in 1/18 scale, folks.

If I had six grand to spend on "toys", I'd rather commission one with all the bells and whistles from HPH at double the price. "If prototype fails to sell it will be moved back to storage." Ha! Like that Zero prototype? No way, Jose. Not going to happen. If it doesn't sell now, it will be re-listed sooner rather than later (probably in less than a month).

WOW....never thought I'd see this put up for auction. As much as I want an A-10 in 1/18 scale, the price is too high in my opinion for it to have all the missing and incomplete parts. I'd rather take $6000 and save it to commission one like King of Fools said.
I agree with Pickle, $3000 and I'd bite.
Say Pickle, how about we contact the seller and see if they will sell it for $3,000 if it doesn't sell and then use it to make our own 1/18 scale A-10?

Pickel will probably make you your own personal A-10 for far less than $6000 and it will be top quality and everything fitting well and won't have a yellow canopy to boot.

For sure. Way, way less. We've already discussed it several times but with the F-14 being produced, the "wait and see a little bit longer bug" bit again. The thing is, 21st's prototype would probably help tremendously in building one.

This is completely outrageous. Who would be so arrogant to think that this will sell for $6000??

Ok, time for PH to start this project. Enough waiting for these companies. I'm still in for one. We all know what he can do... If we are shelling out 250 to 350 for the F-14 with a bunch of problems, why not the A-10 done right?
