Housecleaning P-51s?

Post by vulgarvulture » Tue Aug 23, 2005 2:48 pm

With the new 21st P-51 on the way and the BBI P-51s already here, I'm thinking of getting rid of the old-tooling 21st P-51s I have to make room for the better stuff.

A dumb idea?

Maybe, but it could be a collectable someday as the first 1:18 airplane.

i'm keeping my Lou IV regardless. I love the paint scheme, it was the first piece of XD i bought (and thus has fond memories) and if you hang it up high it looks good still.

Agreed. I have my LouIV leading the BBi Mustang, and when Hurry Home Honey gets here she'll still be leading the formation.

Not a dumb idea - as you can see most of the reason to keep it would be sentimental. If you need the space for a new and improved then go out with the old. I have a LOU IV MIB and it's probably worth less than what it was at retail 5 years ago.....so if your not attached for any other reason, let them fly..... :o

Build an addition to your house and display all of them. 8)
