need photo of 21st F4U Corsair-Ira Kepford, S2

Post by dragon53 » Sun Mar 21, 2010 3:08 pm

Does anyone have a HIGH QUALITY photo of the 21st Century F4U Corsair-Ira Kepford-Series 2 (with weathering on wings)?
I need one for my model photo collection, and the photo on SSHQ Database is too small.

Thanks for any help with this.

I have one of these S2 Kepford Corsairs. Tell me what resolution and picture size you need and I'll take them. Any particular pose you want and I can do that too.

FOLKWULFE:

I'm not familiar with resolution, but I think the higher the resolution, the better. Also, the bigger the size is better, too, because I can always resize it for my collection. Thanks for your help on this. I've got 1,928 photos in my album, but the Kepford Corsair is the only model I have without a decent photo.

Here's an example of a very good photo:

You mean like these?

These images are 4X6 inches and of medium resolution. The originals are 22X16 inches and the resolution is much higher. The higher the resolution and the larger the image....the larger the file. Therefore I cannot post those large images here. If you send me a PM with your email address, I can shoot the original files your way and you can resize to the appropriate resolution and size that you need. If there is another view you need, just let me know.

FOLKWULFE:

Thanks for the photos, but your Corsair looks like the Series 1. The Series 2 has weathering (silver paint) on the leading edges of the wings and tails.

Here's a photo of the Series 2, but unfortunately, it's too small.

Series 2 looks a lot better than Series 1, which I have. A sure candidate for a repaint it's so bad IMO.

I would almost bet that pic is of the original paint master 21st used and that the actual production piece looks like the pics Follkwulfe posted. There usually isn't any production diffences if 21st re-issues the same scheme that I know of.

HWORTH18:

I have the Kepford Corsair, Series 2 and it looks just like the small photo I posted above (silver weathering on the wings and tail, etc.). It's a great photo, but too small.
I'm looking for a large, high quality photo of the Series 2. Folkwulfe's photos are of the Series 1 which looks a lot different.

Maybe I'm missing something. If you have the S2 plane couldn't you just take a picture of it, pop it onto your computer, and print??
