New 1/32 FOV Lee W/ Monty

Post by dfoos » Mon Aug 22, 2005 5:55 pm

Got it a couple of days ago, Beautifully done. I love this model. THe only problem I have is there is a really visible seam horizontally along the bottom of the turret and Monty's skin is too dark. He looks Indian or African. I am going to drybrush his skin and hopefully lighten him up a little. He goes great opposite Rommel, who was released in the 21C German #5 set. I have several Cold Steel DAK Pz III's and Also Several FOV Matilda,s , All I need Now is Greif. I found a 1/35 model of it at a local hobby store, but It would be cool if someone released a 1/32 die cast model (hint hint 21C or FOV)

New 1/32 FOV Lee W/ Monty

dfoos: I don't mean to be picky, but isn't the new FOV tank an M3 Grant? I think the Lee had a little cupola on top of its main turret with a .30 cal machine gun. Unless FOV released a Lee unbeknownst to me!
Anyone fell free to jump in here. Maybe I've got my signals crossed! :?

Turret Seam

Got to add a ditto on the big ugly turret seam. I don't have a problem with the Dark skinned tanker, actually somewhat appropriate, representing a colonial tropper. My guy has a really dark head with lighter toned hands, that looks peculiar. He's also got this long Giraffe neck and peculiar posture. I did like the holstered Webly though, good touch.
