Nobody knows exactly, but a prototype was shown on a toy fair a couple of months ago...
There still is no exact release date, and I'm curios if the F-15 will be JSI's next release or if they will focus on repaints of old 21st Century Toys molds (like the Starfighter and Huey)

We still need more new 1/18 aircraft!
The new 1/18 plane on display at Hong Kong Toy Fair was the J-11 in Chinese marking scheduled for release in this year.
JSI also showed the JASDF F-104 with new tail, a Me262 night fighter and a bunch of WWII German Sdkfz 251 new variants.
Since there had not been any picture from the show, we have decided to share the few pictures we have at Merit's web site:

Enjoy.

Personally, I am not a big fan of heavy weathering. For the longest time, that's the preferred style requested by customers. Perhaps the taste has changed and less weathering is preferred.
We have already started to tone down the weathering, if you look at the
P-40 with the landing gears incorrectly extended at NY Toy Fair, (our bad) the weathering is much lighter. We will continue to try different ways to get best results.

i thought you said that jsi didn't do the iranian f-14? if so why is it sitting at their booth on top of jsi pamplets in one of your pics at your site? did they ask you guys to reveal, but not say they did it, to see if everyone approves? i know they got alot of heck about the first release, but i must say, i like it, to bad its iran;s tomcat, and not one of ours.

Well, our Navy does have, or did have F-14 with same paint scheme at the Top Gun School. This version is still a definitely candidate for future release. It is just a matter of reaction from customers and if another paint scheme is more desirable for more immediate general release. We shall see.thatf14guy wrote:jim
