And, While I'm on my soapbox.....

What is up with 21st's site??????
We were promised long ago pics of the new stuff coming out and new pics of the stuff already available.. It would seem 21st has lost/ or is losing enthusiasm about keeping the site updated, just like they did with the old site.. Sure, there are fanclub updates, but I wanna see stuff that I will be spending my hard earned pesos on in the upcoming months.. :?

For example, do a search on 32x extreme wings A/C and you get four pics of planes that have been out for over a year or more.. What's up wit dat???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

okay,
off my soapbox now.........

Wow, rough crowd! I thought there was plenty of comic con articles, we did like 8 or 9 if I remeber correctly.

Anyway for those hungry for more early next week fans will get to read the interview that I recently cconducted with Roy Sutherland. In todays post there is mention of a 3rd "Sweet Arlene" that needs a new home... More to come on that. I am also working on a couple follow up articles on some hot topics that I feel could use a little more of the spot light.

I will try not to take the negative feedback too personal seeing as that the BBI website hasn't been updated with any comic con coverage, or contests, or giveaways, or articles, or interviews, or pics of the new zero... wait do they even have a fan club?

Hang tight guys... more is coming. I am doing my best to feed the monster!

What's so funny is in another thread people are praising bbi for saying "wait & see" or "No" about everything and in this thread people are upset about the poor info coming out of 21st
Anyway....If you guys want to send me some of your ideas I think I can tell you either wait & see or NO, so fire away :P

TKO, You are right, 21st did post that many articles, but we saw only brief glimpses of many new items, with NO explanations of what they were... Except, of course, the Starfighter and Rall 109, which were photographed extensively.. There was a whole display case of upcoming 32x stuff that was barely photographed and NOT mentioned much, if at all..
(BTW, that comment was aimed at our Illustrious leader, who took Gobs of pics, but has yet to post any)..

TKO, Don't take this personally, because it isn't against you at all.. And honestly, I don't collect BBI stuff, so I could care less about their website..
I was VERY excited to see 21st update their site with a promise of new pics and constant updates of the product lines, which unfortunately isn't happening or hasn't happened yet.. You are right, I am impatient/hungry and I hate to be negative about something I love, but some news every once in a while would be nice, rather than hearing about new stuff in the "Walmart recon" thread..
Throw us a bone every once in a while and don't forget about us 32x guys.. Okay??

No problem Hworth, we are cool! I was just havin' a little fun with all the pro BBI talk as of late.
Sometimes people are quick to forget all the good stuff they have with 21st, and I know how it is to be looking forward to the next new thing. Comic Con is interesting because 21st tends to close off the intel just before the show obviously because they want the show to be a big as it can. Then the same is true in the following weeks... the big push got all the greatest intel an dnow we gotta wait a few weeks till more comes in.

But as I was saying the down time is about at its end. The interview will be fun as many of the Fans questions will be directly addressed and there were a couple bones thrown in thanks to Roy. I was a little tougher in a couple of my questions for him as you will soon see. But Roy is a Great guy and fun to talk to so I love it when I get his ear!

I'm just a huge fan too! and by the way the 32x stuff is looking really good to me lately. I might have to expand my own collection!

-TKO! I waill catch up with you guys later tonight!

tko211,
We really appreciate your input and ear bending on behalf of 21st Century fan club. It seems like in this hobby we get feast or famine on information...

It's great to hear one of our own has won a Sweet Arlene P-51.
Congrats John!

Whoever the person was that didn't claim their plane would be kicking themselves if they knew! It was probably a wife that was dragged to the show and wanted to leave ASAP!

Well if you can't find a home for that 4th plane... I always have room for one more in Kentucky!!

tko211: I am very appreciative of the efforts you personally have made to start the Area 21 Fan Club and keep board members apprised of the latest developments at Twenty-First Century Toys, but I'm afraid I must agree with Harry Worth. Saying BBI has a lousy website is no excuse for 21C having one, especially since they have a much greater product list. A company's website should put its best foot forward and be an inviting portal to that company's products, not a confusing and outdated mess! Like BBI's website, 21st Century Toys' site says to the potential customer "SCREW YOU!".

Zach,

I'd like to add my thanks for you putting in your time to keep everybody informed. Your position as President of the Fan Club is definately the best reach-out to the fans that 21st has ever done, period. If it wasn't for Area 21, this board would been nothing but tumbleweeds right now.

bbi's effort so far is so reminicent of 21st's early attempts at fan support: a bunch of bullet statements with not a whole lot said. They're what a CMSgt I used to know would phrase as "air sandwiches": no substance. Nice try, but we've been there before with little success. At the very least, Area 21 has swirled the water for discussion and some real anticipation, if not delayed a bit in the process.

I'd have to agree with HWorth in his assessment. I don't think it's a case of us (collectors) not appreciating 21st and it's products, but more a case of information being put out as to release dates, new products we'll see in the near future, and much of that on the surface appears to be a smoke and mirror act. I'd suggest approaching it somewhat like BBi did in the past, and not say anything, just suprise us with product when it actually becomes available instead of trolling us along for months if not years with incorrect information. I've been collecting XD since the first releases, and love 21st's product, but quite frankly I grow weary everytime I see something pretaining to a release date of a certain product. As a matter of fact, this "issue" has actually pushed me into collecting a wider range of scales, so that I won't sit around and piss and moan about 21st not getting it's act together, I suspect this has thrust a few more folks into doing the same, and possibly even taken some $$$ out of 21st's pocket?

BTW: You're still missed Rex
