Check out this video clip of battle damaged P-47's that brought home their pilots in spite of tremendous damage...

If anybody knows where I can find the complete documentary on DVD please let me know, a quick search of the likely suspects (Amazon, Netflix, etc) was not much help. The narrator sounds a little bit like Walter Cronkite, but I could be mistaken about that.

I have this complete video,and series.
It is from the series "Great Planes",I believe.
They did one hour documentaries on different aircraft.P-47,P-38,P-51,B-17,etc,etc.
Interesting,with lots of good footage.Although the narration is less than ideal.

Yeah,
It was shown on the Discovery channel,but I have not seen it,or Planes of Fame for about four years now.
Thank god for torrents.
Are you just getting the P-47 one,or are you going to go for all the available ones.
I went for them all.

I stand corrected.
The series that ostketten had posted was Warbirds.I watched the dvd,and it is exactly the same as what was posted.
