Thanks, Harry!!
The two tanks that you mentioned were in the older sets but knowing 21st they probably put them in the new sets as well.
The pics from the Toy Fair showed the S1 Hellcat, S2 222, and the 8 ton PM with the new buildings and S1/S1 German and US troops.
I like the thrill of the chase...but then again.

C2000,
The Walmart had 4 playsets.. I will try and list them as I remember, but one I couldn't see any details.. It was on the top of the isle..
1. Coastal defense: Conc block bunkers and men
2. Chance encounter: Panther w/men
3. Squad Attack: Pak40 w/sandbag bunkers and men
4. the other I believe had the Stug IV w/sandbags and men.. (not sure)
I am not sure if these are exactly right, as I was in a hurry so I couldn't study them closely.. But I think you get the idea..

I found the new 32x Series 5 Afrika Korps troops and the Series 2 British Troops at a Wal Mart in Fresno, Ca. The German troops are pretty nice, but the Brisith could have been done better.
The same store also had the 32x playsets: Chance Encounter, Squad in the Attack, Counter Attack and Costal Defense "The Bluffs." The costal defense set had that new German cannon and the PAK-40 and gun crew figures, which almost warranted a purchase, save that I didn't want all the cement bunkers!
Somehow, the Hobbytown store in Fresno also got the new 32x ME-262 and P-40. I thought those were Wal Mart exclusives, but the boxes were case-fresh, and there were a couple case loads of them. They were retailing for $21.

The Fresno, Ca. Wal Mart on Kings Canyon & Peach has the new P-47, ME-109 and Sky Captain P-40. There were only two each of the P-40s and ME-109s, and about 4 P-40s and all the boxes were marked as "Limited Edition Paint Schemes."
Why these planes were at the Wal Mart on the other side of town from the store that got all the other 32x figures and playsets (as well as the 1:18 Japanese and US armor) is beyond me

Found the new 1:72 FOV Tanks and some of the planes (Hurricanes) at a Target in Fresno Ca. I picked up a 1:72 Hurricane and am VERY pleased with it. They are on par with (and in some areas exceed) Corgi, Matchbox, and IXO in quality. The variable position landing gear and especially the opening engine are very nice touches! At $9.99, one can't beat the price, either.
The tanks are the same as what first appeared with online retailers a few months ago, save that in some cases, they lacked some of the paint quality as they are action grade. The T-72 looked better to me, but the M1 Abrams had less weathering.

In my AO (DC Metro area: Md/NoVa) noticed the following:
Target: FOV 1/72 Aircraft and Tanks, picked up several of the two different variants of Hurricanes I was able to find, and was only able to find one type of the Stuka supposedly out, the Eastern Front 1943 version, which is a close second in regards to schemes, to the Libyan "Snake" stuka. Picked up several T-72's, and M1A2's and like everyone else, was very impressed with the quality and level of detail found on the Armor and Aircraft, certainly raising the bar for Dragon who continues to raise their prices pretty much every quarter. Looking forward to the rest of FOV 1/72 line.
TRU: hit several stores that still have quite a bit of BBi 1/18 and several with a few XD pieces, none of which were marked down for the green tag sale.
Walmart: nothing new at any of the 4-5 stores I checked out on Sat and Sun. Only store that seems to be getting the new items in with any regularity is the store off Rt198 in Laurel Md, but that store is a major P.I.T.A. to get in and out of and parking is extremely hard to find, so I don't visit it as much as I'd like to.
General Hobby Shops:
Hobby Works (Rockville,Laurel and Fairfax): decent amount of Dragon 1/72 and Can-Do.

P47 & FW190
Are those the 1/32 scale, which I have yet to lay eyes on, or the 1/18 that have been at WM?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I collect 1/32 WWII.
I just found 3 different FOV 1:32 Spitfires at the Orland Park IL. TRU, they are Franklin mint quality and have great features, retractable landing gear, open-close cockpit, removeable bombs and engine cover, display stand and 2 (?) pilots, and are't too bad at $29.99. they come in a great display box fully assembled, except for engine cover.
Happy hunting!

FOV finds for today:
Found the FOV 1:72 Corsairs at a Target in Fresno Ca. They are pretty nice and have opening gun bays plus the optional landing gear. I don't think the cowling opens as it would be too difficult without removing the propeller. The pilots looked a little sloppy, however, when compared with the Matchbox and Corgi Corsairs. These are the planes (pics from the FOV website.)
Then I went to TRU and found the 1:32 FOV Spitfire Mk IXs!! These are awesome and are comparable to the Corgi version. Considering the price for those planes, the FOV Spits are a steal at $29.99. They have the opening enging, movable surfaces, retractable gear, and opening detailed cockpit, plus the pilots, bombs and display stand. Looks like these planes are starting to get around!

Well, well, well...the one box of white1, red 3, eileen, snorting bull, and eaglestons showed up at the dobbins arb walmart in marietta today. With the two fw's and an eileen at 14.96 apiece and no wasted gas (on the way home), I consider it good day- they all look pretty good overall. I'm starting to have blasphemous thoughts- (should i sell off the 1/18th ones?? its alot easier to display the little ones and they do look good). Its like anything else, whatever you sell, at some point you wish you still had it..
I'm sure I missed this in previous posts, but I was shocked to see the 75mm IE 18 IG gun in the Bluffs 32x playset!!! Man I want this gun, too, but with the diorama! Man, it looked perfect too...... Good job on that one!
