Umm..Ski...remember we said that about the Corsair?....Don't underestimate Bbi's desire to do the planes that 21st has done. After today's Zero I wouldn't be surprised if P-40 was next. In the pacific, the 21st version left something to be desired, could be.....

Here is the link for the P-51 (they got it right):
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&no=*&st=*

And the P-40:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... nce&s=toys

They have the same SKn. so I hope you are right Ski - we really don't need another P-40 just yet, thanks

Well let’s have a little contest here…”what does our newest Elite Force release have in common with an Italian restaurant?”

“Tricky question” you say?…the answer is “meatballs”

Yes guys here it comes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…the bbi, Elite Force 1:18 scale Mitsubishi Zero!

We know you have been begging for this one and it has been in our works for some time now.

The nimble Zero was Japan’s frontline fighter in the Pacific and gave the allies a run for its money until they came up with the real heavy metal such as the Corsair and Hellcat.

As usual the Elite Force Zero is accurately scaled and full of superb detail.

Our first offering of this outstanding fighter is a “specific historic colour scheme” and will only be available through Badcat Aviation at this time.

So visit their site at http://www.badcataviation.com and get one for yourself, just like the real thing, they will go fast.

Stocks of this wonder of the skies will be arriving at Badcat around mid to late September…so you will need to keep anticipating it for a while yet.

We can’t think of a more perfect partner for your Elite Force Corsair…both great fighters from the Pacific Theatre.

So don’t forget to order your meatballs. "

Thanks bbi for kicking out the Zero. It deserved the recognition. This is going to be cool!

Interesting observation Razor.

If its only coming to Badcat, why is somebody else announcing their exclusive?

Eh, I don't think that this will be completely a BCT exclusive. Maybe the paint scheme, but I'm sure you will see it at TRU sometime in the future like the Corsair.

The 21st Zero is due out in 2006. Well its official I guess that we will see the bbi Zero in late Sept. I was hopeing for a Hellcat but I guess I will have to wait. Bad Cat has yet to post any photos of bbi's Zero but I can only imagine what it will look like and knowing bbi's attention to detail and so fourth it will be one awsome looking Fighter for sure.

Well bbi beat 21st to the punch on this one guys. And yes bbi has done it first because as Mike said its been in the works for some time now.

Boy it the competition is getting fierce between these two companies. Good job bbi.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing they'd develop an entirely new mold just to have it be an exclusive; no way could BCA order enough to justify the cost.

I'm really surprised at how soon this will be available; I guess this explains why 21st decided to do theirs even though they'd said before it was unlikely.

Well between the 2 companies it sounds like we're going to have at least 3 Zeros to keep the Corsairs busy :)

Well--Hot Damn! I am going to have to download the old song Johnny Got A Zero tonight. I am pleased that bbi is making something non 21st. I think competition is a superb thing. Let the flood gates open.

Guys

I'm with Ranger on this. I would have loved to see some more U.S. Paratroopers that are ground ready. My other hope was for some 1/18 WWII U.S. Rangers.

I must admit, I'm a little surprised at the reaction to BBI's Zero. If I recall, there was a lot of clamoring for this plane this past year directed at 21st. I would have thought folks would be going absolutely bonkers over this announcement.

Maybe it's too early after the announcement to draw any conclusion, but the initial reaction, even with the thumbs up from many board members, is not up to the level I thought it would be.

I wasn't really into planes, like Ranger, I would've prefered more figures...but you know? After seeing bbi's Corsair, and now wanting one, put me on board for the Zero too!!! Vulgarvulture: I'M going BONKERS over this one!!!

How about something to make everyone happy, an A-10 packaged with two T-72s, one fine, the other blasted to bits? Now that would be awesome, recreate that Dru Blair painting with the A-10 screaming over a burning T-72 and ZSU-23.
