2nd SS Panzer Stug IV

Post by ostketten » Fri Jan 01, 2010 12:45 pm

A Stug IV of 2nd SS Panzer Division "Das Reich" slowly makes it's way across the frozen Russian steppe under stiffening Red Army resistance during the 3rd Battle of Kharkov in February & March 1943. The model is a repainted 32X Stug IV with Dragon 1/35 figures, and a home made aerial recognition flag. Brrrrr... it looks cold... time for some hot soup... 8)

Very cool 8)
The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Looks great and you did a great job on the repaint! Is it me, or does that German flag look pink?

Looks great,ostketten! 8)

But the nazi flag does look kind of washed out.
Perhaps the SS does not know that you should not add bleach to colours.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The flag was intended to be a little faded or "washed out" looking, similar to what you might expect find under field conditions, but the lighting made it look more pinkish than I would have liked.
