Is anyone interested in Missles?
I was going to make this a poll question but I figured you guys were sick of those by now. Would anyone like to see a 1/18 V-2 or V-1? How about Anti aircraft missles and Tripple A weapons. I think a scale NIKE AJAX or HERCULES would be pretty cool as well as Hawk, SAM, and Patriot batteries.

I know about the 1/16 V-2. What's the 1/20 one?
If you look on Ebay under 'desktop model' you will, occasionally find a wood V-1 model. Two actually. One is almost exactly 1/18 but the quality and paint job is only so-so. The other is a beauty but is closer to 1/20. I just recently bought the later for $20......a hell of a deal since i've seen them retail for as high as $130.
I don't know how likely missiles are....not very i would suspect. Mike you have any comments on this?

I thought the Estes rocket V2 was 1/20. I could have been mistaken. I know the IMEX vacu-form V2 is 1/16. If you don't want to scale, Estes now makes a Canadian X-prize rocket based on the V2 that is about an 1" too long and 1/24 scale, but it doesn't do much for me. I'm tempted to get the IMEX because it comes with the internal as well. So, you get a rocket and fodder for other diorammas.aferguson wrote:I know about the 1/16 V-2. What's the 1/20 one?
In reality, I don't expect any missiles, especially if we haven't seen much in 1/18 artillery. I doubt we'll see anything else like the psuedo-hawk launcher from GI Joe in the early 80's
i had the Imex years ago.....very complicated kit. I ended up selling it. The Estes says it is 1/19 but is actually 1/16. It's nicely done though and looks pretty easy to put together. As there is not a strong sense of how big a V-2 is, since most of the time you see it blasting off without people standing around it, the over scale nature of the Estes model doesn't really bother me too much. It's tackling the friggin paint scheme that has, til now, prevented me from putting it together.
I don't know what the chances of a 1/18 V-2 are. I would guess not good but that one day, eventually, we'll see one, if we live long enough..

At first I thought you were asking about weapons packs, which I would love to see. I would love to be able to swap out the weapons on my Hornet and Viper. ACtually does anyone have any Sparrows off their Viper they'd be willing to let go, I want to attach a pair to my hornet.
Also I would love to see some SAM batteries, especially a nice 1:18 scale RAM launcher, I guess because I work on it, lol.

X-planes?
I checked out the website above (very nice!). Which led to...
Since we're dreaming, how about an X-15 or an X-1?? I think an X-15 would go very well at 1:18. It is smaller than an F-18 and is close in size to an F-104. It would fit in a box one of the boxes!
