21st Century AH-1W tail letters?

Post by dragon53 » Mon Dec 28, 2009 7:43 pm

Does anyone know all of the letters on the tail of the 21st Century AH-1W SeaCobra and what squadron it belongs to?
(I can see an "N" in the photo.)

Looks like 9N and the numbers 162542 on the Marine camo version and TV 162542 on the grey with snake.

CARDENAS:

Thanks for the photo.
I checked it out---it's actually an "SN" which is HLMA-169, Camp Pendelton, California.

I was wondering if the 21st Century AH-1W was from MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina for my North Carolina model collection---I already have the 21st AH-1W "Cobra" which is from MCAS New River, North Carolina. Now that I know the "SN" is not a North Carolina AH-1, I don't need one for my collection.

Thanks again for the photo.

I'm glad I included the photo, my eyes aren't as good as they used to be. :D

CARDENAS:

The "SN" AH-1 is really neat looking. I wish I had one to go with my "Cobra" AH-1.
