Won on E-_bay

Post by Bandit » Wed Dec 23, 2009 3:05 pm

Hi, I had the winning bid on a cold steel M113A2 Armored Personal Carrier 1/32 scale. Never seen this model by I.m thinking it my be a good model to get. I heard it's one of the better Cold Steel items out there. Got it for $17.00 + shipping. Was it a good deal?? It did come with the carton but used.
Was going to stay with only WW-2 models but when I was in the Army
I had a couple rides in a M113, so though I like to have a model of one.
Looking forward to see this model. Have a good one> Bandit

$17 is about what they retailed for at Wal Mart back in the day and they were about $20 at the small retailers. They are also somewhat hard to find these days, so I would say you got a good deal.

The 32x M-113 is one of the best vehicles in the line. Actually, it is better than the 1:18 Xtreme Detail version. All hatches and doors open, the commander's turret rotates and the gun swivels. The engine doors open in the correct two-piece style to reveal a highly detailed engine, complete with the radiators. The interior is highly detailed as well with the benches and seats for the crew, internal stowage, and even controls for the driver.

21c really went all out with this little vehicle and it is a shame that no other Vietnam era armored vehicles (besides the M-41 tank) were ever made by them.

With the demise of 21st Century, it's a good price. It sold at Walmart for $14.99 plus tax where applicable.

You paid $17 dollars for one of those? Oh man... You got taken... That's truly horrible. Those things are worth, like, $3... tops. There's no way you should ever had paid $17 dollars... I mean, that's embarrassing. In fact, that's so embarrassing that just to look at it must be painful...

Seriously, you'd be better off just getting rid of the thing so you don't have to keep looking at it and being reminded of how much you over paid for it. That's what you should do. Just get rid of it as soon as you can. Maybe if you're lucky you can find someone who has never seen one of those and has no idea of their value and try to get them to do what you just did.

Damn, nice catch! I wish I could have scored one of those when they were on the shelves.

If you hit the flea markets, garage sales and local toy shows you can still find them. I've picked some up for $5 and $10.....
