Sadly, no Bush Avenger. The prototype did appear on some boxes (it is on the box for my special edition German F-104) and there was the famous press release, but like so many other 21c items, it never materialized.

It is a real shame as the Bush scheme should have been released first and should have been the scheme that went to mass retail. The TBF Avenger is most popularly associated with the Pacific Theater and the Bush Avenger would most certainly have been sold than the Atlantic Avengers. The Atlantic scheme is neat, but really should have been the last scheme they released. I would also like to think that the Flight 19 Avengers would have done reasonably well at mass retail, given the popular Bermuda Triangle and aliens association. Whoever was in charge of determining what paintscheme or products 21c released should have been removed, for the really cost the company dearly in the end.

The George Bush Special Edition was never released sadly. The box art was approved by his staff and the project got very far, almost ready to release. Then Walmart pulled the plug and things started to spin out of control. I would not be shocked to see it come back someday somehow.
