WHAT IF JSI MADE UNPAINTED OR KITS IN 1/18?
Yes what if jsi did indeed make a line of 1/18 unpainted aircraft, would you buy one? Or, better yet a whole line of 1/18 kits, a line of squadron decals, ordnance. Jsi i feel has disappointed all of us for the most part. I think if they want to turn this around, why not be the first company to start making unpainted aircraft or kits. what do you think about it? Atleast this way it is up to you on how your plane looks.
And feel free to post any ideas you may have that jsi should do in the future. What ever they may be, i myself would like to see jsi be able to continue making their products, but with some changes.

Yeah i haven't done a kit in seven years, since my brother-in-law put his fist through a 1/32 f-14 i spent months on building. but i would do a 1/18 kit, i think it would be fun. i think if jsi wants to have a booming business they need to think outside the box and do things other 1/18 companies haven't. but thats my opinion, hopefully the s-2 will look alot better.

21st's F-104's, F-86's, and MIG-15' are prime examples of this. All of mine are unweathered but still look fabulous, especially the Sabre.all they have to do from now on is not ruin the paint jobs stupidly. Unweathered aircraft are fine if they feel they can't do proper weathering on them.
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:
F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle

I think that 1:18 kits is a good idea, but only in aircraft that haven't been made yet in that scale, or something rare that has been done but hard to get like a Spitfire.
I would attempt one at the right price.

If I wanted to build kits,I would still be doing Tamiya 1/32.
Much better than anything that JSI could produce.
The allure of these pre built [dieast],is that you don't have to have an entire room devoted to building a kit.
They are basically pre assembled and painted.
JSI screwed up the weathering on this model.
Other than that,it looks great.
Either, figure out the weathering,or don't do it at all.
I am fine with "factory fresh"
Love my Century Wings F-14's.
No interest whatsoever in a JSI kit.
