And if you order from a foreign country you never receive any information. i´ve told Paypal about the problems yesterday. hope to get my money back. Shit, I would really like to do some army of darkness figures like Fritzkrieg did.

Re: TR sale
That's nothing weird at all. The big sale is over and that's why the price is $4.99 now. Secondly, while it may say 'in stock' you can't add it to your cart. It's just some old page for an item they no longer have.bswearer wrote:now this is just wierd......
I put in an order with ToyRocket on November 7, which I believe was the second day of the sale. So far they haven't shipped any of it nor said a single thing about my order, whether some item is holding it up or whatever. I've emailed them twice in these past three weeks and they've just given stock answers each time.
Come this Friday I plan to write to them again and if I don't get any sensible answer beyond 'we're busy' I'm going to try to get a refund through my credit card.
It's a company that filed for bankruptcy just a couple of months ago. By the looks of things - few or no pre-order items, no newly released items in almost a month, a sale to get rid of their entire stock - they're not planning to be around much longer.digger wrote:I don't understand a lack of patience when it comes to these clearance sales. ... Here's what they sent me today after a semi-nasty email. I placed my order on 11/08/09.

has been overwhelming with tousands of orders flooding in, including yours.

Frustration to say the least.
Mine had 4-5 days before the order is to be shipped out. I placed my order on 11/8/09.
Yeah, I received that exact same message before, too, except it said '3 - 5 days' instead of '10 - 15 days.' That was 16 days ago now, when they said that...
I've decided come October 1 I'm just going to cancel my order. While I see a few people have been receiving their orders I'm still not totally confident here that I'm going to get mine and I feel like the best bet at this stage might be just to settle for a refund in case later on I lose that option.

So I got my order today
So I got my order today but i ran the numbers on the purchase and noticed they shorted me $7 in my refund. I would recommend everyone double check there orders for the same issue. I think the majority of the issue is they charged me sales tax on the whole purchase and when they realized there was stuff not in stock they only refund actual cost and did not refund my sales tax on the items. Sorry but 7 bucks is 7 bucks.

Got My Order
For those of you still waiting, my order arrived either Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving.
I was not worried, as it was a couple of Indy Bikes, a Mon Calamari (I love to liberate these guys to add to my navy), and a rather random assortment of smalljoes my brother and I like.
In any event, I was happy with the entire process.

I ended up putting in a claim with VISA today. Three days ago I asked ToyRocket to just cancel the order (I decided not to wait until October 1) and they never responded. I don't think they ever will. In six or seven years of buying online I've not once had to do this before. It makes me really hate ToyRocket, I tell you.
A somewhat funny thing to see now is their eBay feedback here:
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... world=true
Another odd thing is that they keep adding items to the 'Back in Stock' section of their front page but when you click the items you see most are 'sold out' or 'backordered.' I happened to be on the site as they were adding them one at a time and so it wasn't a matter of them selling fast. I think they're trying to make the front page look like they're still active or something, it seems very strange...

That might be so, but with feedback left like this on page 7: "This is the second time I have ordered from them and not received my item" the customer base can't be too intelligent.Grosby wrote:It wouldn't have been there at the time they bid. The vast majority of that negative feedback has been left by people in the last week or so, for items they won in late October or early November.

First let me say........I got my order just fine.
Depending on the number of employees they have (probably just a couple) a sale like they had can make them hop. Sometimes LIFE gets in the way! I have had days when I could not get everything done, and I am retired (I just wish everybody else would remember).

you don't get it. the sale start around november 12th and that's when orders started adding up. of the 59 negative posts in the last month, 54 of them have been after the sale. none of them were posted before everyone flocked to buying from them. look at all the positive feedback even days before the sale started (or at least when the notification was posted in these forums.)Panther F wrote:That might be so, but with feedback left like this on page 7: "This is the second time I have ordered from them and not received my item" the customer base can't be too intelligent.Grosby wrote:It wouldn't have been there at the time they bid. i've sent 3 emails and filed 3 inquires on their site about my order with no reply. at the least they should have an automated message saying your message has been sent/received etc..... seems like a small time opperation that tried to go big and failed. no wonder they had to go bankrupt
No, you don't get it. I have been on ebay for over 6 years and with 336 negative feedbacks (and 179 neutral) you'd think they knew it was a risk. It was my observation only and I don't really care about it at all so don't beat a dead horse.bswearer wrote:you don't get it. the sale start around november 12th and that's when orders started adding up. of the 59 negative posts in the last month, 54 of them have been after the sale. none of them were posted before everyone flocked to buying from them. look at all the positive feedback even days before the sale started (or at least when the notification was posted in these forums.)Panther F wrote: That might be so, but with feedback left like this on page 7: "This is the second time I have ordered from them and not received my item" the customer base can't be too intelligent.

Panther F, i'm sorry to "beat a dead horse" as you put it, but you're not representing the facts straight and is not right to be so inaccurate. if you're going to make a statement, then please provide sufficient support for it, or just don't say it in the first place.
you basically said that people who bought something from them were not "intelligent" because they were suckered and should have noticed the "poor" feedback and not trusted the seller. well, that makes no sense because your statement lacks evidence considering the feedback up until the point of the massive sale and ensuing fiasco was OUTSTANDING.
according to their ebay feedback records, they are as followed:
over the last 12 months, they have a 98% positive feedback. out of 21937, 21542 are POSITIVE/NEUTRAL reports. even in the past 6 months, their rating was 96%. so anybody looking at their feedback score BEFORE the sale and ensuing fiasco should have been very impressed. it has only been within the last month that their feedback has been turning up negative due to all the garbage that has been going on in response to the sale.
the report you quoted was from page six and was made on Nov. 10, the day the sale was posted and was one of the first of the massive surge in negative reports. for one person to say "this was the second time", how could that downplay the other 21000+ positive reports that said otherwise?
look at their rating over the past month due to the sale and terrible customer service: 60/177 reports are NEGATIVE, and their rating for the past month is 66%, a drop of 32%. they're lucky to even have that considering 50 of those positive reports came for a total of 4 different people.
if people would have seen 4 pages of negative feedback BEFORE this whole ordeal, then yes, you'd be right in saying that they would not have been smart to have ordered from the seller. but because that simply isn't the case, your remark has no validity and was uneccisary.
i've been i ebay for some time as well and i sure as hell know how to read a feedback chart. 98% is 98%, which is darn close to near perfection.
