Corey and Small Joes are ok in my book. I just had "Santa" buy me a BBI Little Bird and both of the GI Joe Extreme Conditions packs. I've dealt with SJ many times and have never had a bad experience!

This is VERY serious and should be treated as such. As a reputable member with many, many BST deals completed, I feel like members should be responsible for their actions and how they treat fellow members.bswearer wrote:What I don't get is that as a seller, if your potential buyer takes so long to reply or pay for the item in question, why sit around and continue to wait for them? Why not just put the item back on the market and say the deal fell through? If the original buyer was really that serious about purchasing the item, then he'd be more inclined to get his ass in gear. If he doesn't care enough then fine, go find another buyer! Chances are that if you don't get any response after such a long time, that the buyer either
A. had something serious happen that kept him from responding or
B. simply changed his mind or didn't have the money, in which case it's his responsibility to man-up and say so.
Of course, it's always sketchy when as we see with this case the buyer says "I never received any message regarding this". The battle of he said she said is never a good thing and that's what you get when working with pms. If an admin was able to check pm logs, that'd help to confirm stories and help if suspensions/bans were needed. Either way, things like this should be dicussed via pms and with admins should problems arise.
As for the issue itself, it seems like there was an obvious lack of communication from both parties. As for the bashing of this guy, there really is no need for it if you ask me, especially in a case such as this, where the deal in question isn't even worth a ton of money (I mean it's not like this is a $500 deal here) then why is it such a big deal? Nobody was seriously hurt in the whole ordeal so is it necissary to condemn somebody?
In my honest opinion, if people are going to treat this like ebay and feedback then they're in the wrong place. The fact that people actually find this forum should tell you something about their character and passion for collecting. If you have a bad experience with a person, no need to make a big deal, just remember that in the future you may have to do things differently if you get into another deal with that person.
I've not traded much yet in this forum both due to being relatively new and the fact I don't have enough money!!!, and up until now I've been extremely impressed by many of the collectors on this board and I do hope that this kind of stuff does not continue to happen anymore. This whole thing just looks like somebody had a fight with their girlfriend......seriously, if something happens, keep it to yourself and deal with it in private instead of gossiping like a teenaged girl.
Maybe you should tell that to the folks that were scammed by this sociopathic freak, Bob what's-his-name Napier. Whining sissies, the lot of them. Ha!bswearer wrote:This whole thing just looks like somebody had a fight with their girlfriend......seriously, if something happens, keep it to yourself and deal with it in private instead of gossiping like a teenaged girl.
Did I miss a physical threat that was issued in this thread, or are you just referring to something that happened elsewhere/in the past?King O' Fools wrote: I always get a laugh from these "this is not what a real man does" übermacho kind of comments. And, yes, it’s the "be a man about it” part I have a problem with, because unless you intend to walk the walk and follow up on your physical threats of bodily injury, it's a waste of time.
Nope (at least I hope not).coreystinson wrote:Did I miss a physical threat that was issued in this thread, or are you just referring to something that happened elsewhere/in the past?King O' Fools wrote: I always get a laugh from these "this is not what a real man does" übermacho kind of comments. Look, I'm giving a heads up to others on the board to help them avoid trade/sell nuisances, because in this case these were private party transactions (I will not be bringing non-paying business clients to this board, as I have 10 a week).
I'm not sure why anyone would hold a business to a different set of standards, relative to "a deal/agreement is a deal", than you would any other private party transactions, but that is clearly where this thread is headed. Not interested in debating it further.
I agree. No, this is not ebay, however honesty, integrity, and being a man of your word, that is to say sticking to your commitments, are not to be taken lightly in my opinion. If someone backs out of a deal with me they had better have a reasonable reason why and let me know about it, if they didn't I wouldn't necessarily file a bad trader report on them (unless I'd been cheated, or owed money etc.) but they would go on my "blocked traders" list immediately. Where I come from a mans word is his bond, and IMO that should apply everywhere, including this board. This is VERY serious and should be treated as such. I canceled only three orders out of hundreds for very specific reasons that were already detailed. I have already stated this publicly, therefore you are either intentionally or unintentionally misrepresenting the facts.evilanimation wrote:I totally understand both sides of this but, I remember when the Attack on cobra island packs came out you canceled a bunch of order's due to ratio issues and you would have lost money on the sales, but isn't that the same thing?
My sentiments exactly Nev. I had this happen to me here just recently, and the funny thing is the guy is one of the very same people who has chimed in here against Corey.... Go figure...tankduel wrote:Case in point. Hed someone 'flake' on a buy a while back. This did not bother me, the guy was welcome to pull out, just didn't bother to tell me.So I just made a mental note not to bother with him again, as it might lead down the same path... This person is not a bad guy, I'm sure, but if you're gonna pull out of a buy and you don't bother informing the other party, then your word is worth nothing to me....
Nev
Feel free to compare them, but with the correct facts. When you say "a bunch of orders" you are, at best, comparing against an incorrect recollection of the original complaint. There was a thread on this subject here in the past, which is probably still on the board. Please review it and advise if you would like to re-present your case.evilanimation wrote:I Just remember this being an issue in the past. I was just comparing the issues.
LOL.evilanimation wrote:1= Single, 2 = Couple, 3+= Bunch. You still canceled 3 orders non the less.
