New War Movie coming soon on Nov. 2005

JARHEAD

it is about the US Marines during the Gulf War.
Seems pretty good and iti s based on an actual book.

The release date is Nov. 11, 2005.

Hopefully I will be there in the front to see it!

75th, did you read Jarhead? I read it two years ago, while at mobilization station preparing to go into Iraq. Actually it was passed around while there, most of my buddies read it too. Swofford, while interseting and funny at times, does seem like he's telling war stories the way my grandpa used to tell fishing stories. Leaving the reader not sure what to believe.
I was surprised to hear a movie is being planned, I would not have thought that book worth a movie. I guess the new war has been good for more than just Halliburton.

i hope it is based on the book but when it comes to the screen that is becomes a good movie.

wasnt impressed by the book, it personally seemed to me that he was whinny at times, but somehow the movies looks good, i know me and all the buddies in my platoon are going to go see it.
