Check out the chain holding the mines and that polkadot peadot paint job does it for me every time.

He could just have made the dots too big for the ambush pattern. It's honestly not THAT bad looking. No worse than the octopus camo schemes from the late war. There is a place for speculation in this hobby, in fact it probably needs more of it, just not at this price.

He is probably overcompensating for the amount he might have paid for the FoV tiger tank.

Thanks, The Armored SS divisions on the western front often used this exact camo pattern in conjunction with foliage covering the tank to allow ambushes on allied ground targets and were harder to see by the allied air power.

are we missing something??? or is he all doped up?

Man I need to do some ambush camo...

Instead of harassing him on your high horse, why don't you ask where he found the reference and if he has a picture of it to share. Just say it looks unique and you've never seen it before.

Tact is a lost art.

It's not hard to think that the SS would replicate the pattern from their uniforms if they felt it worked better.

Like i said, just ask. If he is wrong, whatever. no one is twisting anyone's arm to buy the piece, but with so much animosity and zero factual information being asked for, it's hard to complain about it.

Like i said before, this whole hobby could use some more creativity anyway.

Paul is somewhat right here. The guy is trying some creative schemes and ideas although not factual. It just struck me as somewhat humorous when I saw the pics so I posted the comment. Don't need to make too much out of this.

Creative paint schemes are fine when you are painting a VW Bug and everybody smiles when you see it. Smiles are not used in the same sentence with Tiger Tank...... it just does not work.

Calling yourself an expert and then showing a huge polka dot paint job is just wrong. Add in a overprice for that incorrect paint job is just laughable.

On this forum we welcome all comers, but please don't insult us by calling yourself an expert and then showing us that you are NOT an expert....

This man may be a talented painter but his paint job not accurate for any WW2 theater.

Im not looking down ay him from my high horse (king tiger) but for hiw to claim he is still on his high horse (tiger 1) and turn out that......

but lets not kill the dude.... with a little work he "could" do good. he knows how to paint.

I totally agree with TTT and others.
Search for B-29's post on Indy Troop Car and Winter P-51 from last year in the customs forum. Just an example.

Hey if you love the camo pattern on your favorite WW2 militaria and duplicate it straight onto a FOV Tiger, best of luck to you. I guess thats being creative.
But when you list a eBay 1/18 custom,(adding that you are an expert), of a doubtful historically correct paint job with anti-tank mines hung at every soft-point,it will probally get a bit of attention from the cyberpolice on 1/18 forums like this.

edit: wasn't this the same guy selling out of shape Zimmerit coated Jagpanther(sp?) custom for $300 -$400 last year ?.
