One reason to pack items securely with lots of bubble wrap and peanuts.

Yeah, I'm thinking this discussion came up about six months ago. I saw similar behavior in Orlando back in 2007.

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

I like how the guy in the second video underhands some of the packages in an effort to minimize the damage!

Not surprising. :(
You just have to make sure the package can put up with this kind of abuse.

Unfortunately, no you can't. There is no practical way to pack up, say, a 1:18 scale aircraft, to allow it to withstand that kind of jarring and abuse. You would have to pack every order in a 6' x 6' x 6' cube with ten pounds of packing peanuts, and obviously that isn't feasible. Items have to be packed to withstand "typical" handling issues, and beyond that you have to hope the package doesn't encounter one of these nuts. Usually they don't.

I ship sunglasses all over the world, and I find theft in many postal systems is rampant. I don't think I've every had a damaged item returned. A good box with a couple of airbags usually works for my purposes.
