PTE Chinese troops.- CLOSED

Post by tankduel » Fri Oct 23, 2009 1:38 am

A friend in China is going to see if he can locate some sets for me
http://www.worldpeacekeepers.net/P1-81402.html
if he can, and can find more, who would be interested and what would be a fair price?

The figures look really cool.
How much are they selling for?
I would be interested in a set if they aren't too much...
Let us know what your friend can tell you.

Cool figures. Now why can't we get PTE guys like that over here in the US? The realistic headsculpts and removable helmets sure improve the look of them. I did make a couple "Asian" PTE figures, though, using XD Japanese figure heads on PTE bodies.

i might be interested in a set too, depending on price. Much improved over their regular figures.

that stuff will make it here. You'll see a lot of the product in those galleries has small improvements, including removable helmets. No reason PTE wouldn't sell that stuff here too.

i dunno....retailers here may not be interested in carrying them, feeling limited appeal of chinese soldiers to north american buyers.

But if you look at the gallery you will see all of the PTE stuff that makes the annual rotation - the bike, atv, bunk, camel, etc...are all packaged now with new guys. I don't think they would be sold any differently as foreign troops or whatever. It is just the new PTE. I see the guys with the landing craft now have life vests - is that new? It just seems like these are little improvements that have been made to change it up. Hopefully that is.

landing craft?

the aerial rocket helicopter being sold here at big lots is different from the one being sold in europe which is different again from the one being sold in china. So i still have my doubts we'll see chinese troops over here (i mean toy ones, not talking about a red dawn type invasion by china  ).

I didn't mean to suggest Higgins Boat. I should have said raft:

Digger, I am just seeing what I can do to get hold of these otherwise unavailable outside of China figures for myself and some guys here. I have not made any claims they will never be released outside of China although Chinese troops in Chinese packaging they come in is unlikely to be distributed outside of China IMHO.
Anyway, seeing as this is a BST thread where I have asked for responses from people who are interested, and you aren't, how about you leave us to it?
I'll get back to those that responded positively if I can secure these figures.

It says soldiers in the description so I think all 6 although I would check before bidding :D Single figures are going for $3.00 each

So, it looks like these aren't so hard to come by then

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

[quote="Stug45"]These will go great with the bombed out building.

I have a bunch of those wall sets, bought some firefighter sets to get them a while back.

that makes no sense...with the figures being $3 each individually......he probably meant one set of figures.
