Is there any interest in rockets for the Hellcat? Price would be $16.00 for a set of 6 rockets.

Do rockets come with the Hellcat?
I have one, but still in the box.

Again, have not opened up my Hellcat yet, but are there holes in the wing to accept the rockets?

To sum up what was said in the last posts for clarity:
All BBI Corsairs came with 8 rockets
No BBI Hellcats came with rockets.
All BBI Hellcats have holes in wings for 6 rockets (3 on each wing) and the directions sheet notes that rockets can be placed in the holes, but are sold seperately.
The holes on both the Corsairs and Hellcats are the same and use the same rockets.
If you do not have rockets for the Hellcat and want them, I would recommend taking Aviatornut up on his offer

Are you shifting me? The whole damn AC costs $50 and they're going to get $16 for 6 stinking rockets that were already molded!? That's almost 1/3 the price of the plane! Give me a break bbi....

I'm with you digger. Although I'd be interested in getting a set for my Hellcat, I wouldn't shell out $16 for 6 rockets.

Err, folks, I don't think this is BBI selling the extra rockets at $16 a pack.

I could be wrong, but I think it's Aviatornut getting a hold of loose Corsair rockets and selling them as an aftermarket accessory. Is that the case, Aviatornut?

I am really looking to see if it is worth having bbi make them.
16.00 is what it will need sell to have bbi make them and ship them here.
if the forum does not think it worth the 16.00 then it won't be worth the cost to get the project done.

Didn't BBI have a message on the Hellcat box indicating there were rockets to be had (but not included)? It took them long enough to (not) deliver...

Price is steep, though one night after a few beers I might abandon my fiscal judgement & go for half a dozen...

I am also with digger on this one.
However,I also support Aviatornut. If these were readily available for less, then he would not be selling any of them.
If BBI sets the price point this high,I feel that it is price gouging,to a certain extent.
Just happy that they are available.
I probably will not get any however.

Looks like the market has spoken and that $16.00 is too much. It is Time to scrap the weapon program.

agreed.....$16 for 6 rockets that have already been made is a joke. $6.99 is more like it.
Looks like bbi has really lost interest in 1/18 for them to not follow up as promised ages ago with after market rockets for the hellcat and then when someone tries to get them made, gouges like crazy.

I know if I were to make them it would cost at least $16 for a set UNPAINTED.
If I wanted them $16 would be a deal.

I would be interested in a set of rockets for the Hellcat.
I missed the boat last time.

Yeah, but you can't turn them out in quantity like Bbi, either.

I agree - as a retailer I would not touch/attempt this at $16.
Blue Box should have included them with the aircraft (a point already made by others). I'm satisfied that this was some hair-brained and subsequently aborted scheme that they cooked up to get people to part with more cash, realizing somewhere late in the game that it wasn't going to fly - pun intended.

[I say aborted because at no time were the rockets ever promoted or offered to retailers, at least as far as I know. ]

For a couple of cups of coffee,
I'd definitely do it.
I'd do it anyway - perhaps if the included for for the same price it would be more attractive to the rest - say 12 for 16.00.
I'd still do it regardless.
