Mods please move it if it's not in the right place...
Anyway.
A friend of mine on another forum is making a 1/24 F-117, and it got me inspired.
I am basing this loosely on a 1/144 Revell model kit i found in the attic last week(Loosely because it only vaguely looks like the F-117!!!)
I am using a bit of real world reference too, but i am not fretting over the details.
Basically if someone can look at the end result and see an F-117, then my job is done.
So, i am using 3mm MDF sheet for the main structure, and i will be using styrene stock for the details.
The figure i am using is the 1/20 Hasegawa Falke pilot(The scale of the ship is DEFINITELY 1/24, but the figure looks good in there).
I have got about maybe three hours work in this, not counting the half an hour it took me to transpose the shape onto the MDF sheet using the scale-calc program to scale up the 1/144 model kit.
I expect it will take me another three hours work to finish the hull shape, and maybe another five hours to skin it in styrene and scribe it all, plus make the cockpit.
Criticism is welcomed. Let me know what you think guys!
And now for the images!
